Cantilever Hotel, Trademark Collection by Wyndham

The room was very nice, bed comfortable, beautifully furnished, with a large bathroom. We had dinner in the restaurant and the staff were attentive and the food was delicious. The hotel is right next to a railroad track and it can be very loud at night. They do provide earplugs, most likely for this reason.

No breakfast available except for old bagels, always out of dinner items. Rooms were not normal. Service terrible, not a friendly place. Terrible value for the money. No one told me about the train tracks behind hotel and construction noise til darkness. Road construction downtown.

Dumb room layout, small closets with just 3 hangers attached so can't be removed. Large bathroom with very little flat space for travel items. Massive claw foot tub hard to enter and slippery. Old fashioned wrap around shower curtain hard to manage. One shelf made from tree trunk. Quaint and not functional room. Room felt like a dungeon. Three freight trains passed between 1-4 AM with squeeky wheels ! Staff not friendly or helpful. Never been told by staff to use public walk in shower "down the hall" if can't manage the tub.

The hotel and the staff were terrific. The building is clean and tastefully decorated and the staff couldn’t have been nicer. However, one evening the entire restaurant and bar were booked for an event and guests at the hotel were not notified in advance. While there are options in nearby International Falls, it seems notification would have been appropriate. Lastly, the hotel sits next to a rail line that is the busiest port of entry in the US. There are more than 20 trains every day now that pass the hotel both day and night; some of them are two miles long. A 2015 report noted the crossing was blocked on average 8 of 24 hours. I timed one that took 14 minutes to clear the road out of town. While ear plugs and white noise allowed for uninterrupted sleep (the trains cannot blow their horns), be aware that you may have unanticipated delays. With all of that in mind, I still like this hotel and distillery and will stay again the next time I visit.

Incredible place! Food was great, staff were very friendly, and the property was very nicely appointed. Would definitely recommend.

Just a top notch stay. We enjoyed the room, the dining and cocktail options were superb and even got to take a distillery tour with Robert. Some people complained about the train, but I guarantee the train was there long before the hotel and it is kind of nostalgic. I wish they were closer to home so we could stay here again. Highly recommend!!

With the lack of food options in this greater area, the Cantilever unequivocally needs entrees (as opposed to tapas-like menu) on the menu for dinner and needs to have breakfast from the kitchen.

Needs to prioritize guests over restaurant patrons.

We’ve stayed here twice now and have really enjoyed our experience! They do tours of the distillery but they weren’t doing a tour the day we were there, but that’s okay just means we get to go back😉

Hotel and bar/restuarant were great. Good location for visiting the national park. A bit noisy in the room from bar downstairs and frequent trains that run close to the hotel.
