The rooms were ok, nothing spectacular, just ok

There is a complete lack of hospitality. Staff is rude, food is mediocre, no attention to detail, they ran out of simple supplies (sparkling water, rice, plain yoghurt, etc), the breakfast is unattended, plain and simple. There is no passion for food or hospitality to be found at this place. Often things were missing, hot breakfast served with toast arriving 10 minutes later, that kind of complete lack of attention. The reception is unoccupied, guests are ignored by staff, who are eating themselves very loudly in the kitchen while guests are around and owners are away. Red wine is served from a box, beers come without bottle openers or glasses, the water in the coffee machine needs to be filled by guests themselves, etc, etc, etc. At departure we were obliged to pay a service fee of USD 20, which we did because we could see staff needed it, but it was offensive as we did not receive any good service at all. The German owners clearly do not give anything about their guests' experience. Please go somewhere else, this is really not worth trying. It is also far from everything and located on an awfull bumpy dirt road out of town.

Alles ansprechend, stilvoll und gschmackvoll durchdacht gebaut und eingerichtet. Tolles Personal, besonders im Servicebereich und der Küche. Sehr schöne Anlage. Wir haben spontan verlängert.

Vielleicht lässt sich am Wasserdruck der Dusche noch etwas verbessern?

The room was very comfortable. The pool area is relaxing. The landscaping around the whole property is very nice as well. The lodge is only 15 minutes or so from the airport, but feels like it's in a village setting. I enjoyed walking around the community a bit in the evening.

Traveling during slow season can present some challenges with regards to property renovations. These were dealt with by the staff, which I appreciated. The wifi is very good around the pool area, but did not work well in the room. Not a big deal.

It's a great place to stay if you don't want to go into Lusaka and be close to the airport. Very quiet and chilled out, with nice grounds and lovely staff.
