Bushwhacked Barberton

The natural surroundings were beautiful, the bed was very comfortable and the overall atmosphere felt cozy and relaxing.

Some guests from the neighboring chalets didn’t respect privacy and would occasionally walk by or stare. However, once we mentioned it to the owner, they addressed it immediately, and the rest of our stay was lovely.

Room was occupied by new guests before my check out. Needed to shower after the race in the comfort of my room.

What... a... gem. The owner is a delightful British lady who is so friendly and helpful. The view from the family chalet was stunning and the interior cosy and functional. Beautiful birds and the free roaming chickens visited us in the morning.

The owner pointed out a noiseygoldmine in the vicinity but we were not bothered at all by that.

I had not understood that this is effectively a shared house. All the rooms have individual locks but the kitchen, lounge, outside areas and bathroom (unless you have an ensuite room) are shared areas. It might be that I missed this in the description but this meant the property did not quite meet my expectations. It is a stunning location and really easily accessible with Barberton and supermarkets etc - a really great place for a night or two before heading in or out of Kruger, I would certainly stay here again.

Location was excepional best view and the bed was the best nearly took it with me hehe and then our host were so friendly very busy but willing to help and assist anytime
