The Namkhan, a Small Luxury Hotel of the World

My wife and I travelled to Luang Prabang 25 years ago, and when travelling around SE Asia recently with family we wanted to return and introduce the children to the town. The Namkhan was a little out of town, but offered airport transfers, and the eco lodge and accommodation far exceeded expectations. The rooms were amazing - spacious and very well equipped, and with amazing views of the river. The restaurant provided excellent food, and the other lodge facilities were top notch (well equipped gym, yoga, and side trips like a float down the river). The town itself is a great mixture of colonial food and architecture, and Buddhist influence, and the alms ceremony is for me a must. And the manager is a top kiwi bloke. Very highly recommended, and worth the visit to Laos for it alone!

This was a very comfortable stay. Expensive but worth it. We had a riverside glamping room which was a lovely location. The staff are very responsive. We complained about the murky pool and this was rectified immediately. The free shuttle into to town is convenient but taxis are inexpensive anyway. Luang Prabang is a favourite destination and we will definitely consider stying again. Finally a superb breakfast

Fantastic piece of paradise, very thoughtfully designed and maintained. Serves amazing breakfast with a lot of vegetarian options. What makes this place stand out is their staff, who are extremely responsive and hospitable, be it patiently handling changes to orders, fixing something in the room, or giving a lift in a golf cart to guests. Special thank you to Soe Mai for patiently taking a lot of photographs, and creating memories for my family.

Super friendly and helpful staff, beautiful resort along the river, comfortable bed, lemongrass water except for coffee and tea, free yoga class, free sauna, good breakfast, farm in the resort, etc

There're a lot of flies in one of the salad bowl at breakfast. I have to order a salad on the menu but they forgot to bring it to us. It's actually OK because we were already full at the time. It's really a wonderful hotel considering the price.

very nice and special boutique hotel and eco-farm, in a seclude and splendid area. the staff is super warm and the service is simply exceptional. the manager Carl make you feel privilege. We really appreciated our stay in the river tent and would recommend every nature lover people to stay at the Namkhan.

A beautiful resort in a lovely, quiet spot by the river. The staff were incredible and the resort and facilities were better than expected. Carl (the General Manager) and other staff went above and beyond for my friend and I and they really focused on providing great customer service. Love the hotel app and everything The Namkhan provides their guests
