Cabañas Te Maori

I couldn't edit the review. I forgot to mention in my previous review that internet works poorly or not at all at times. My prepaid mobile card worked better and all the time, so it's not an issue of the island.

Sorry first review was of another place. Loved the spacious two story place with a full kitchen and a tropical vibe. The owner Patricia was helpful, the unit is beautiful and well stocked. Highly recommended

Breakfast is not provided at this lodging, but cafes/breakfast spots are within easy walking distance.

The stairs from the entry area (kitchen, bath/shower) up to the bedroom are steep. Senior citizens should be aware. Also, a shelf in the shower to put soap on would be helpful.

The house is in very good condition with everything that you will probably need. Patricia is very friendly and helpful. Be sure to contact her prior to your arrival as she will be picking you up. The location is unbeatable. It is right at the "busiest" junction on the island. It is at the end of the main street, opposite to the main square. You will find restaurants, shops and everything around. Everything is a few steps away.

My visit to Cabañas Te Maori was PERFECT! The property was clean, quiet, comfortable and welcoming. It is in an ideal location: a short walk to the coast, on a quiet corner, close to everything and centrally located in the main part of town, Hanga Roa. The bedroom is huge (tall ceiling, yay!) and the bed is very comfortable. The kitchen was perfect for storing my own food and drinks. The balcony had the feel of a secluded tropical island getaway. It wasn't too hot during my visit so the fans were enough, but the air conditioning unit worked great for the 1-2 times I used it. I am fortunate to have found Cabañas Te Maori and will stay here again. But to just speak about my time in the property would not be enough. The only thing better than the property was the owner, Patricia. She was very nice, friendly, helpful and very accommodating. Her communication (via WhatsApp) is excellent. She made herself available to me and cared enough to ensure that everything was going well during my visit. She collected me at the airport and delivered me to the airport at the end of my trip, which helped me to avoid renting a car, and dispelled any concern of how to get to/from my hotel. Patricia was very helpful and informative about telling me how to get around the island: the visitor center, where to get the park pass (needed for visiting many Moai locations), how to sign up for tours, and even the best place to watch the sunset. I will never be able to say enough good things about Patricia. She is an excellent host and provides the best service for a first-timer to Rapa Nui / Isla de Pascua / Easter Island! Wifi at the apartment was free / included. (There was a question in the survey that made it sound as if WiFi costs extra at the property. It does not cost extra, it is included in the cost / free.)

We had a wonderful stay on Easter Island. Our hostess was lovely and checked with us by Whatsapp every day to see if we needed anything. Our plane was delayed and she was happy to let us stay on a little longer. The appartment had a lovely, peaceful balcony next to banana trees and avocado plants and was within walking distances of restaurants and the coast where we could snorkel with turtles. If we lived nearer we would be back every year!

Location was perfect. The property manager Tito was great. He picked up and droped us off at the airport. Explains how everything worked in the cabin even arranged tours. Also room has Air Conditioning. It's not a 5 star hotel and could use a bit of updating. Great price point and location.

Patricia was away, so she sent Tito to help me. He was excellent, toured me around before check in, so I could get oriented. Took me to the airport to drop off my bags, then drove me to a couple of tourist sites, before I had to go back to catch the plane. Was very helpful and knowledgeable.

Communication was great leading up to our stay. The cabana was centrally located yet quiet. Nice to have kitchen facilities and a/c. Beautiful little setting. Tito was especially helpful during our stay!
