House of Gods Hotel

Delightfully quirky and decadent hotel right in the heart of Edinburgh. Helpful and friendly staff. Only negative comment - the room was too hot and air conditioning could not bring it down to a comfortable temperature.

Fab rooms and very well presented. Staff really helpful and added to overall experience. Only down side was that the room was just too hot even with the fan on full.

it was very well located with friendly staff. On arrival we asked for recommendation of cool bars in the area and Annie who was on the reception at the time was very excited and asked exactly what we were looking for! she called up to our room as she was finishing up and dropped in a list of bars shed complied for us. it was a lovely touch and great recommendations. the roomed everything we were looking for but tidy! ideal for a short trip.

The decor was one of a kind. Definitely a place to stay if you don’t want your run of the mill lodging. It was a great stay!

Really groovy hotel. Love the design and the whole concept. Rooms are just a tiny bit too small even for one person.

The staff was polite and courteous however the room (101) was extremely cold when I asked about the heating I was told she would fix it and 5 min later she was back with a little heater for the room ! the door to the room did not close correctly and need a good hard push to make it secure. The term there’s not enough room to swing a cat really is true as it’s extremely cramped for 2 people. It was very dusty and the towels we used on the first night were folded and put back on the shelf instead of fresh towels. 4/10

Great looking hotel very hipster if that’s a good thing But failed on breakfast not starting until 8am what time do they think people have to get up to go to work The rooms were small and looked very stylish but come on I expect breakfast from 630am not 8am I start work at 8am and have to get there

The hotel is absolutely lovely. It’s unusual and a real change from the normal boring beige hotel room while still being classy and elegant. The hotel smelled amazing, was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay. Only one tiny improvement would be to add milk somehow to the tea and coffee in the room.

Location was spot on. Hotel is charming and quirky. We had the classic room, compact but comfortable. Staff were friendly and and very helpful. We will return
