"Ok but as a result of the accounting issues and double charging - BADLY MANAGED"

Although the hotel itself was good we had a major problem with our bill which is unresolved The hotel charged us TWICE - which we accept was a mistake and they immediately acknowledged their error but said they could not refund on our credit card in the machine - no idea why BUT we told them on the 30th October the day after our arrival and we have still not got our refund (30th November ) despite numerous emails , calls to the hotel ( from our son in mexico who speaks fluent Spanish ) and emails to the IHG group - now ignored . We sent full bank details on 3 occasions They say they have transferred but they failed to put the correct details on the international transfer ( and they are supposed to be an international group ) and they cannot seem to understand that as a result the deposit simply wont happen . It is not an insignificant amount as we had 2 rooms for 4 nights so over £1000 So find this quite disgraceful The management / accounts is appalling and as a result I would not recommend this group even if the hotel was ok

Breakfast was not included although it was my understanding from Booking.com that breakfast was included.

The room was just above a noisy street without any view. Also, the hotel was too far from Centro.

"Modern and bright hotel walking distance to the center"

The hotel was at the edge of the busy Guanajuato center. Easy to walk to the main tourist attractions and far enough to be in a less noisy street. People were nice and breakfast choices were plenty.

For a building that is in the historic center of Guanajuato, I thought that the wall paper imitating stone and brick at the entrance ruined the look of the place. I wish we had had a room looking towards the back and not to the street. The view would have been more open and the room more quiet.
