Stayed here a few days and I had no complaints. Super clean, outstanding customer service. Monica went above and beyond. Always a smile and very engaging with guests. We checked in, got the keys to our room and as soon as we entered the room, it smelled like someone had smoked in it. We didn’t reserve a smoking room and I was pretty unhappy about the room smelling like it. I confronted the front desk and they said “all their rooms were non smoking, but the person that stayed in the room before we got there may have smoked when they weren’t supposed to.” I was pretty upset about the fact that they knowingly put me and my guests in a room that we particularly weren’t fond of. They said they didn’t have any other rooms “available” at first, but they did put us in a room that magically appeared to be available. Also, I booked the room in advance with one price, taxes included but when I got to the hotel, they charged me a little bit more. And no it’s was not the security deposit. Once the issue was fixed, and We jumped Past a few hurdles, we were able to get a good nights rest. A hotel like candlewood suites is meant to be a place where we should not have to jump through hurdles to stay comfortably. I would have stayed in a run down hotel and payed a lot less than $140 /night If I was going to accept being uncomfortable. They did accommodate us past their check in time at 12:00am. We were running 30 min behind and they let us still check in.
