Twentieth Century B&B

Very well presented property with period features and decor, lovely hosts with nice stories about the property and what inspired the different rooms available.

We stayed in the David Bowie room which was fantastically decorated as was the matching bathroom. All rooms were immaculately clean and full of character and charm. There was a great choice of breakfasts which were beautifully prepared, and presented in the lovely ArtDeco dining room. Kat & Richard were wonderful hosts - so friendly and passionate about their Home/B&Bs history, themes and decor. We were celebrating a Birthday and Wedding Anniversary and couldn't have picked a better place to stay. We felt very welcome and even had balloons and cake provided! It really is fantastic, fun and friendly place to stay.

The hosts were so welcoming. The themes in the room was very interesting. We stayed in the Amy Johnson room, with lots of on theme decoration in the room. The breakfast was very good for a gluten free and vegetatian diets with special effort made by the hosts to get in a couple of special breakfast items especially.

I really enjoyed my stay and would recommend the Twentieth Century B&B. I stayed at the David Bowie room. Everything was an original item from the 70s, including the bed, coat hanger, chair, etc. The room was lovely decorated with the theme, and the best thing was the bathroom. The bathtub was oh.so.perfect! And they even provide you with a bath bomb if you request 💗 The area was very quiet and I slept really well. The B&B was within walking distance of the beach. I was fortunate to arrive at a day when I was the only guest, so I got a tour of all the rooms, and I was really impressed with the amount of detail they've put into decorating each room. They are all lovely and make me wish to stay in each of them 🥰 The breakfast was delicious. Especially the poached egg, it was perfect and moreish; they've told me all about how they've perfected the poached egg recipe and the secret to a good poached egg ☺️

We liked the vintage style decor throughout. Art Deco theme, with a homely atmosphere which made you feel that you actually lived there. Kat and Spencer, the hosts, pulled out all the 'stops' to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Very accomodating and only after a few minutes made you feel that you had known them as friends for years. Spencer made a legendary scrambled egg, as well as an amazing breakfast.Kat is an amazing hostess, and great fun to have a chat with. We even got two small Easter eggs, and another big one the next day! We will be going again in the near future. All we can say is 10 out of 10.

This was a lovely experience. The Dave bowie room is a sweet homage to his life and work. The hosts had some great stories to share. This B and B is a must if you want to experience something slightly different. The breakfasts were delicious.
