Great location near warungs and small shops. We rented scooters to get around the island which was ideal - not for the faint of heart though. Make sure you know how to drive a scooter! The owner, Ketut and his staff are wonderful. We hired his boat for a snorkeling tour which was absolutely amazing! Snorkeled with manta rays and did a drift snorkel where the coral is beautiful and we saw turtles. You won't believe how beautiful the water is here.

My partner, 1 year old and I had a wonderful stay at the Royal Cottages recently. The accommodation is clean, well located (near Mushroom Bay Beach) and the complex is small enough that you get to know the other guests. Ketut is an excellent communicator and is very helpful. He organised a day trip to Nusa Penida for us (with a car/driver and boat transfers), as well as transport between the island and airport in Denpasar. Everything was super smooth and went off without a hitch! I highly recommend staying here - not only is it great value, but the staff are genuine and really made our experience extra enjoyable!

The property was fine. Clean and comfortable. The staff were accommodating. We also did a snorkeling trip on the owners boat.

Unfortunately while we were there a religious festival was going on and the temple was nearby. The religious music and chanting was amplified throughout the area and it happened late into the night and started early in the morning. This was no fault on the owners of the villas however we chose to leave after a couple of days as it was really impacting our holiday.
