Villa Inocencia

Extremely pretty. Really quiet location but still within walking distance of rests/bars.Lovely gardens. Super quality bed linen and towels (and plenty of them). Really comfy bed. Great shower. Host, Mauro, was helpful, quickly responsive and had excellent knowledge and recommendations. Safe off road parking.

Seating in main lounge area wasn’t great - only one comfy chair. Limited cooking facilities- but you could cope. A washing machine in the huge bathroom would be a great investment. And, some ice in the freezer for a cold drink after a long drive arriving wouldn’t go a miss either.

The outdoor space and overall decor was lovely cottage vibe. The room was spacious and clean. Kitchen was well equipped for cooking. Basically what you see in the photos is what you get. Very serene and comfortable place to stay. The town of Santillana Del Mar is about 5 mins drive away.

The sink tap kept dropping water was a bit annoying at night to sleep. We didn’t receive a guide about the home beforehand but Staff answered promptly to every question, very friendly and reachable.

The property was great and Mauro was incredible. Mauro answered any questions we had quickly and gave many suggestions about the area

Lovely rural apartment a short walk from the beautiful Santillana del Mar which has numerous restaurants, bars and a couple of supermarkets. The apartment itself is very peaceful and set in well maintained gardens. The decoration stylish and yet still cosy. The host was very helpful and provided plenty of useful local information for my stay. I stayed in the winter, but would definitely go back for the summer weather to explore the area more.

A very warm welcome to this pretty villa located a 15 minute walk to the centre of Santanilla del Mar. Charming cottage with lovely outside space. Good Lupa supermarket 800 metres out of town. Loved the recommendation to go to San Vicente de la Bequra for fish lunch.

Everything was great.

Absolutely loved the location; outside of touristy Old Town, but close to so many beautiful places. The property itself is so peaceful. The back yard/gardens enhanced the entire experience. Our Villa had huge windows that opened into the back space and we took advantage daily. We loved cooking several of the nights in the villa and having wine and cheese on the patio. Great shower and kitchen set up. Mauro (the owner and contact) was very responsive and accommodating via WhatsApp.

Really nothing to not like. A few small suggestions would be: better mattress and pillows, and the two chairs in the family room have little cushion support. Robes would be a great addition, but one might never leave then!

We really appreciated the peaceful and beautiful location, well appointed and interesting accommodation. The host was very helpful and we were grateful for his help and communication.

Perhaps flyscreens on some of the windows may have allowed us to keep the windows open at night.

This is truly a special place that we would book again anytime and that I can only highly recommend for a stay in Santillana region. A villa designed for 5 separate apartments of different size within 600 m walking distance to Santilllana´s historic town center. Quiet location with own gate, drive way and secure parking in front of the villa. Nice and spacious garden around, with table and parasol. The house and rooms were build/refurbished in the last 3 years by Mauro, who is an truly sympathetic and heavily engaged host. Never came across a host so helpful and caring before. TOP. We booked a small apartment for 2, but with the veranda and the garden is was perfectly enough space for us. The apartment was fully equipped with everything you need (and Mauro would get you anything you might be missing). Nice (rustrical/landhouse/retro) style. Kitchen, fridge, microwave, TV, bathroom with shower and toilet. Everything in very good state. Fresh towels were brought to us after a couple of days by default. Access to the property by key code, keys provided in safe place allowing for flexibility with regard to arrival time and Mauro came to the property to welcome us and introduce us to everything we needed to know and beyond. We had a gorgeous 2 week stay. We happened to have a little unforeseen problem during our stay and Mauro was more than helpful. Thank you ever so much! Hope, to have the chance to be back soon. Santillana is a very nice town in this region with a couple of nice beaches close by and close to Santander, excellent for shopping and tapas bars.

What we disliked is that we had to leave this little paradise. Truly recommended TOP, TOP, TOP place for a wonderful vacation.
