Holiday Inn Chengdu Airport by IHG

The staff at the hotel was very kind, friendly and helpful, and not just for hotel matters. They were happy to help me find my way around. The room was properly clean and comfortable. I tried the two restaurants and food was amazing. A wonderful experience! If I ever get back to the city, I will prefer this to other choices.

When I go there, the hotel shutdown. Booking.com no notified that hotel closed and the hotel also no informed that their hotel closed.

I have lived in China for 5 years but do not know Chinese. If you are an English speaker choosing this Holiday Inn because you think they will know English, you will be wrong. Keep that in mind. I didn't choose it for that purpose but because of location, a free shuttle and overall knowing Holiday Inn and there not being a close Hilton which is my go-to. The front desk lady eventually pulled Lekayny Peng from the back to work with me, Lekanyns English was basic but that and the translation app helped me find a place to get a nucleic acid test for travel the next day. The guys at the concierge desk were whizzes with the translation app and ordered me a taxi and got me to the necessary testing. I opted to eat and drink in the Lobby Lounge which was comfortable and open. Angela Bao was working the Lobby Lounge and had no English at all. She was clearly nervous about it, but she was able to wait on me fine and was a good professional and helpful. The drinks were good quality but pricey, but it's a hotel, so they always are. I ordered the spicy wings and they were a bit dry and blah for spicy. There was a small bowl of ground pepper for the spicey and that is just lame, but the chicken quesadilla was worst. Clearly, the kitchen or chef never has looked up or seen what a quesadilla is. What I got was a chicken wrap, not a quesadilla. To add insult to the situation, the wrap had a layer of mayonnaise on it! I enjoy mayo, but not on a wrap! so when. you bite into it it was all slippery and it fell apart because of it and mayo would squeeze out of it. There was a bowl of a colored dip, but it only tasted like mayonnaise on top of it. So it was a mayonnaise-filled monstrosity. it's weird how many restaurants and hotels don't do basic research. I first asked for the fruit salad and I was told that a fruit salad would take 40 minutes, which I don't understand, but that is beyond Angela's control. I should have grabbed some snacks from the 7-11 that is literally just outside as it would have been far cheaper and better tasting then what I had in the Lobby Lounge foodwise. They were standouts and helpful and I appreciate that. The room was a king room and was spacious, clean and the best super comfortable. I love the fact that there is a free shuttle and Lekayny Peng helped me schedule two drop-offs after I had a flight canceled. I am glad about my choice and I would choose this Holiday Inn again.

The hotel is around 1.5km from Chengdu Shuangliu Airport. Hotel provides free shuttle bus every one hour. The staffs are very attentive, the gym inside hotel runs 24 hour, which i absolutely love. There’s bottled water in almost every puplic area, fantastic. Nice hotel, if I have any transit in chengdu, I will stay again.

We loved staying at this hotel! We arrived very late after midnight. The hotel arranged a shuttle to pick us up from the terminal - fantastic service! The service got even more fantastic the next morning when on-duty manager Ms. Demi Wang took 30 minutes of her time to review our upcoming travel schedule for our trip to Gansu and called the hotels at the next destinations to confirm opening hours and visiting logistics for foreigners at the sights in these locations. Exceptionally friendly, helpful service! The best I have ever experienced in China! Her English is excellent. Ms Demi Wang is to be highly commended for her outstanding service dedication! I hope very much her superiors get to read this so that they realize what an asset they have in having Ms Demi Wang as part of their team. Otherwise, the hotel room was convenient, modern and clean. Breakfast was good with a wide variety of western and Chinese dishes. The rate for the night was very reasonable, which makes this hotel great value for money if you are transiting through Chengdu Shuangliu Airport.

What's Good: -clean and spacious -complimentary airport ride - comfortable bed and pillows, and beddings -fluffy towels -close to the airport -very good breakfast -buffet dinner at very reasonable price -There is a coffee machine in the room which we have enjoyed. -quick internet connection and free overall, we have enjoyed our stay.

這次前往成都是轉機去拉薩, 入住這酒店非常方便, 位置近成都雙流機場, 酒店有免費接辦巴士, 就算由機場乘的士去酒店也只需RMB8, 非常方便, 安全, 酒店整體很好, 於酒店內用餐水準也很好, 值得再入住.
