Bove Town House Apartments

Ideal location - close to town. Clean - All kitchen utensils provided. Room and bathroom was lovely. Onsite parking Gift basket of essentials - nice touch. Beautiful garden for sitting Owners were friendly and welcoming. Loads of info provided about the town. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Would stay again.

The room was hot, they provided a fan but it didn’t get cold enough, I think the filter needs changing. Side cupboards needed by the bed.

Do not stay here if you are disabled or unable to carry your bags up a steep flight of outdoor metal stairs. The unit I stayed in is a refurbished attic. It’s well done and has a kitchenette. But, there does not appear to be any air conditioning. There is heat. I was there when it was cool, but it’s a second floor bedroom so it’s probably hot in the summer. It has the typical “charm” of older English properties that have been refurbed. Like to open the windows in the ceiling, you have to use a hand crank pole. Owners were kind and clear about the property. The only delay was once I was checked in and had a small issue, it the next day before I got an answer. If you care about the energy of a place, I found this to be energetically clean and easy to stay in. Would stay again, unless it was the high heat of summer.

We did not receive the email with the access information (technical issue) but the lovely host called us and we met at the property. She then provided the relevant information to get into the courtyard and access the lock box. The hosts provided complementary breakfast items for our stay which I thought was a lovely touch and very kind.

The check-in seemed a bit late (4pm) but since we knew the area we had other activities planned until we could access the property. Could do with something to prop the front door open if needed, just to let a bit of cool air in. The apartment does have a stand-up fan but did get a bit warm.

We just love everything about Bove Town House. We have stayed twice now, so it feels like home!

Great location, nicely furnished and pretty clean. Really clear instructions and helpful advice about places to eat.

Not all the things listed in the breakfast were provided (we had to go and buy extras as we had not brought things based on the list that was sent out). The sheet on the main bed didn't seem to be the right size and kept coming off, revealing a very dirty matress below. Finally, the steps up to the door were very steep - this could be an issue for some visitors and perhaps should be made clearer when booking.

The studio was cozy and quiet. Furnished with taste and with all comforts. Shannon and Trevor are perfect hosts. The position is very central and yet very quiet.
