Campamento Rio Lacanja

It was convenient for visiting nearby ancient ruins. Set on a river Bank in the jungle the scenery is amazing and it is possible to swim in the river. The accommodation was basic but clean. The staff were delightful and breakfast was good.

I found it difficult to sleep due to noise from a nearby waterfall. Inevitably in its riverside/jungle setting there were a lot of insects, so repellent is a necessity.

Staff VERY unpleasant and not kid friendly: I informed that we were a family with baby when making the booking but they seemed surprised and unhappy to see me coming with a baby with “don’t get the bedsheets dirty with your baby, we will come to check afterwards” as unique words.. Not much information given about what to do in the surroundings.. despite having done 5h drive to reach that place. The junction is poorly indicated if you come from the south, Las Nubes. Restaurant serves very basic food; not much choice. There are plenty of other hotels in the surroundings; go for another one.

The location is great, right in the jungle and close to Bonampak and Yaxchilan. the restaurant on site is very convenient for dinner and breakfast. The room itself was large, basic amenities (you would expect) but more than enough for a couple of days. Right by the waterfall with stunning views

The check in staff didn’t seem to speak great Spanish (nor English). Go to the communal showers before dark to avoid too many mosquitos!

A lovely hotel with both rustic cabanas by the river or more solid ones in their garden. Great hammock area and a lovely guided walk through the forest. Very close to Bonampak.

The restaurant could have had a few more options for meals and it would have been good if they offered a few more activities with the Lacondon people.

Es un lugar pequeño en una comunidad pero vale la pena si tomas el rafting ya que es lo bonito para un día está bien

Se esmeran en el servicio pero el gerente Ángel me ofreció mejorar de cabaña, cosa que hizo pero me cobró doble vez. No hubo poder humano que le hiciera entender al chavo cómo tenía que hacer el procedimiento. Le pedí, es más le exigí hablar con el dueño para hacerle saber mi reclamo y lo negó y lo emcubrio. Pésima experiencia, en mi vida vuelvo a ese lugar

Es increíble este lugar, estás en medio de la naturaleza y con una cabaña espectacular. Está súper bien cuidado y ofrecen varias actividades como senderismo y rafting

Lo que no me gustó es que no respetaron el precio pues nos cobraron un 30 por ciento más de lo que señalan sus tarifas y la proporcionada por Expedia , solicitamos la corrección y se negaron rotundamente. Es un abuso lo que cobran😡 Y era muy tarde para buscar otro hotel 😡 9

El campamento es rústico y bonito. En dos de nuestros cuartos aunque había baño no había agua caliente. Nos sugirieron usar las regaderas compartidas y las usamos. Solamente estuvimos una noche pero hicimos el recorrido en rafting que vale la pena.
