I have never felt compelled to write a negative review about any hotel or hostel that I’ve stayed in, in my life, however, given the reviews for this place are typically all positive I think it’s worth some balance. When we checked in, we were greeted in a very confrontational way that made out that we were at fault for arriving at night. We had used the hotel recommended transport to get to the hotel and due to traffic arrived late (when it was dark). The intro spiel was then very rushed and not entirely understandable. At no point were we told that the hotel’s dog ought not to be touched. Unfortunately one of us then went to stroke the dog which was aggressive and bit the hand. When we informed the staff they were all very laid back, playing games on their phones and said nothing could be done. After some persuasion, we managed to get a boat to take us over at night and a taxi to take us to a hospital. Why would any hotel keep a dog that bites guests? Also, for diving, we had booked a warm up refresher dive given we hadn’t dived in years. This lasted about 2 minutes and included a very slap dash overview of safety. I was then taken to some dives with a strong current and down to 18m. Frankly it wasn’t safe at all and was not what I’d paid for, but I’d been told that in order for me to actually have a proper refresher,

Would be great to have aircon in the bedrooms.
NZThis place was great. The rooms are comfortable and very clean, the food is tasty and the beach is lovely. We only went for one night and wish we could have stayed one more night.
Only a very small piece of feedback is it would be nice if there was a fly screen across the sliding doors so we could sleep the doors open, and a top sheet on the bed instead of a blanket would also be good for the warm nights.
USGBI absolutely loved this place! It’s quiet, secluded, and run by a fantastic group of people. Beautiful beach, great diving and snorkling spots. No better yet place to chill!
Everything was perfect!
GBWow, what a unique resort, we arrived quite late in the day and had a pretty choppy boat transfer, but when we got there is was amazing, Awie is one amazing chef and we all enjoyed his food, really laid back, unfortunately the weather didn’t allow us to do the diving we had booked, but the beach is great and we had a lovely stay.
Initial boat transfer was a bit edgy as there was quite the swell.
