I thought the breakfast was comprehensive and well-prepared. Oddly, even after coming to Kathmandu for over 25 years, I still like being in/near Thamel. The location of the Malla is perfect....right at the edge of Thamel....and right around the corner from the trees where the bats live! I always like to see and photograph them. I loved having a pool, and loved the atmosphere. Very beautiful, quiet, and well-appointed, but also a relaxed vibe and very friendly staff. I have a couple of Nepali grandchildren, and they felt very comfortable visiting me there.
There wasn't really anything I didn't like. I got a good price through Booking.com....I couldn't have afforded it otherwise. The airport transfer cost was a little high I thought. $30 is a lot for that.
