We had a wonderful stay at Madra Rua. German and Clara are a lovely, welcoming couple who made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. We really enjoyed the Spanish omelette and the thoughtfully arranged tea selection. I tried three different varieties of organic tea, and each one was refreshing and full of flavour. The rooms were spotless, with comfortable beds, quality linens, and very well-maintained bathrooms. We especially appreciated the organic, eco-friendly atmosphere and the hosts' commitment to sustainability and nature. We stayed for one night. After breakfast the next morning, we took a quick trip to the Ballyliffin Beach playground, which is only about 6 minutes away, before checking out at 11 a.m. We also enjoyed visiting Malin Head and the Wild Alpaca Way, both within about a 20-minute drive. For EV drivers, charging was very convenient. We fully charged our vehicle before reaching accommodation at the charging hub located at F93 C9X6, which has both a WEEV fast charger and an ESB charger (bring your own cable for the ESB unit). This gave us more than enough charge to explore the area and comfortably drive back home. While charging, there are plenty of takeaway and dining options available in Buncrana town centre nearby. Overall, a relaxing and memorable stay in a beautiful part of Donegal. We would be happy to return and highly recommend Madra Rua to anyone visiting the area.

Honestly, I couldn't find anything to dislike during our stay. The hosts, accommodation, cleanliness, location, and overall experience all exceeded our expectations. I'd encourage others to experience it for themselves—you'll likely agree that there's very little, if anything, to fault.
