Great location, wonderful staff.

Charming!!!! Breakfast is served on tables with lovely China and fresh flowers.

The location was perfect for our needs. The common areas are nicely decorated, the women owner and her female staff are all welcoming and pleasant. We enjoyed having access to a coffee/tea station and snacks during the day. Tesla owners can note that there is a charging station behind the Inn.

After we booked, I emailed twice asking if there was any parking dedicated to the B&B, but never received a reply. When we first arrived, we parked on the street a few doors down from the Inn. It turns out that there are 4 regular spaces and one handicap space behind the building. The man who works at the Inn just stood at the door and watched as my elderly husband struggled up two sets of steps with two large suitcases. Really??? We paid for a suite and were assigned Room #5. We understand that it is an old building, but the bathroom set-up was ridiculous. I am under 5' tall and the sinks were at chest level for me. I could barely reach to spit when brushing my teeth. The sitting room furnishings were cheap plastic chairs and a couch which tilted forward. The bed was lumpy and broken down with sub-standard pillows, not. When we are paying more than $300 per night, we expect better quality. We didn't like the breakfasts at all. Although a nice fruit cup started the meal, the first day was mashed potatoes with a few small slices of andouille sausage and one small egg on top, the second, some dirty rice with one small egg on top, with small pieces of meat and dreadfully under-seasoned. Both mornings, something sweet was offered as a third, "course". On our third morning, we opted to join family at a local Mexican restaurant that was excellent.

We spent 3 nights at the Canal St Inn and enjoyed very tasty bfasts, charming bnb home with great architecture, very comfortable bed, perfect size and location of room, much appreciated all amenities especially the hot tub! We so appreciated Monica's efforts, friendliness and hospitality! Highly recommend this charming bnb and location! Thank you Monica!!

Unfortunately not the case with another male employee who at best went through the motions, offered nothing to improve our stay and was not concerned with any level of customer service. First impressions are everything and his was negative, aloof and unconcerned with our experience. As a small business owner in Atl (CDEeventbartender.com) I know all too well the importance of good reviews and work extremely hard to earn them. Every time, every event.
