Coral Tree Colony Bed & Breakfast

We had a wonderful welcome from Dave who provided advice on the area. The room was beautifully appointed with a fabulous view of the golf course with a clear view of the ocean in the distance. A delicious breakfast was served by Dave. We felt welcome, safe and secure and would definitely recommend this spot for travellers.

Fantastic welcome from Dave Page, the owner. He's a great conversationalist, but also a consummate professional and a wizard with eggs at breakfast time! We'd love to have stayed a bit longer, but we only had one night before, and one night after, a week-long hike down the wild coast. Coral Tree was the perfect base and I'm so glad we chose it. It had a great atmosphere, the bed was huge and very comfortable and all the facilities worked perfectly. We had a different room on both nights and they were both excellent. At Dave's suggestion we walked 15 minutes through South Broom just before dusk to drink frosty beers and eat excellent fish n chips at the Riptide surfer bar-resto, just above the magnificent beach and breaking surf. Wonderful spot.

The swimming pool was out of action, for which Dave apologised, though being June it would have been a bit chilly anyway.

Fantastic place with a lovely host. See my other review, we stayed here on two occasions on the same trip. Dave Page, the owner, drove us down to the start of our Wild Coast hike in his pickup, and picked us up again when we got back. What a kind man - thank you!

Location. View on the golf course. Crispy linnen. Terrace. Lovely Room. The kindness of the owners. Their good taste for restaurants and help in booking.

Breakfast was okay but felt basic, not like normal South African indulgence.
