The New Inn - Yealand

Lovely little hotel with an excellent restaurant/ bar menu. Rooms beautifully decorated with lovely bathrooms. Have stayed previously and didn’t disappoint again. Staff very warm and welcoming.

There is absolutely nothing to dislike.

Fabulous place..Nothing could be faulted.We were in room 1 and it was perfect .A hidden gem so close to the Dales and The Lakes.Our second stay and won’t be the last.

Everything - the Location was perfect, very peaceful. The way the building had been modernised retaining old features and carefully blending modernisation. The room was beautifully presented, a fan was on keeping the room cool and a quality radio playing music when you went in - lovely touch.

Nicely decorated and food in restaurant was good ( not amazing!)

Some staff were pleasant but main contact ( took dealt with booking and served us in restaurant several times ) not friendly or particularly accommodating - destroyed any feel good factor which you really need when paying this much for a room . Neither Bedding nor towels were changed, request for a particular table in restaurant not received well ( made to feel it was all an imposition) - sorry didn't want to be put on the smallest table in the corner for the second evening running! When I asked for larger table in better position was old they were tables for 3 - however saw those tables occupied by just 2 people every time I went into restaurant . Our Room was directly above live band in the bar and whilst music stopped when we were told it would , we had to nonetheless ask - should have been forewarned of this when made booking .
