Property Notes

We are a pet-friendly and dog-loving family; however, please adhere to the following pet guidelines to accommodate all our guests: Please note that pets will incur an additional charge of ZAR 150 per day, per pet. Please note that a maximum of 3 pets is allowed per room. The Old Cheese Factory is pet friendly, but not the Bull Stables, Garden Villa, and Lake Villa. Dog beds are available. Dog kennels at the Old Cheese Factory are available for booking to place your dog for short periods. Please make a booking at reception. Please note that dogs/cats are not permitted on the furniture or to use our blankets on the beds or be on the beds at any time as we have white linen. Must be free of fleas and other pests. Please note that dogs are only allowed on the “cattle-free” trails as the cattle can attack the dogs to protect their calves. Please find out which trails are safe for hiking with your dog, from the receptionist. Please take a bag to collect the dog’s droppings. Please note that dogs must be kept on a lead while in public areas of the property. Please note that pets are not permitted inside the Restaurant. Any damage caused by your pets will be at your account. We take no responsibility for any injury caused to your dog by other guest’s dogs or animals on the farm. We reserve the right to require immediate removal of any pet that displays dangerous or unacceptable behavior, including, but not limited to, biting, excessive noise (such as barking), and evidence of disease. If guests needs to check-in after 18:00, they would need to arrange this with the property. Additional charges will apply. Please note that pets are only allowed in the following rooms: Double Room, Family Room, Quadruple Room, and Family Room.Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation. A deposit may be required at the property.
