Zanzibar è talmente bella che passa in secondo piano un hotel scarso come questo

La struttura è molto alla buona con formiche ovunque, ma non avendo scelto un resort non avevo grandi aspettative. Quello che è però importante sapere prima di prenotare che la struttura non è provvista di generatore elettrico come praticamente tutte le strutture decenti di Zanzibar. Questo significa che durante i blackout quotidiani potevi rimanere senza corrente anche per 5/6 ore. A me è successo praticamente tutti i giorni intorno alle 7 andava via la luce e talvolta tornava la notte. Senza luce non potevi neanche fare la doccia perché l’acqua è alimentata da un generatore elettrico. Durante i blackout inoltre si spegne anche il frigo e soprattutto il freezer in comune dove vengono mal conservati alimenti destinati alla clientela e che si scongelano e ricongelano ogni giorno (evitate di mangiare lì se non volete un’intossicazione) Pulizia non pervenuta, da quando (per carità errore mio) ho perso la chiave della stanza e mi è stato dato il doppione, non sono più passati a pulire la stanza (evidentemente sprovvisti di ulteriore chiave?). Non mi lamenterei se non fosse che al check out mi sono stati fatti pagare 10€ per la chiave persa. Ora se io ho perso la chiave è giusto che paghi (anche se con 10€ a Zanzibar forse compro direttamente la porta) però a questo punto vorrei essere rimborsato delle mancate pulizie durante il corso del mio lungo soggiorno o del fatto che metà del tempo passato in struttura sia stato senza elettricità

L'emplacement est dans une petite impasse à l'abri du bruit de la rue où vous pouvez trouver tous les commerces. Vous êtes à 10 petites minutes de la plage.

Le petit-déjeuner est frugale. Nous y avons pris notre premier repas du soir, c'est aussi très léger, pas très bon et cher par rapport aux restaurants des environs.

Struttura poco sicura. La seconda notte abbiamo subito un furto. La porta della nostra stanza era chiusa, ma i ladri hanno tagliato la zanzariera della finestra (non c'è vetro) e hanno rubato da lì alcuni nostri oggetti (soldi, borsellino con collane e bracciali..). Non c'è nessun cancello che impedisce di entrare dall'esterno. Una soluzione infatti potrebbe essere chiudere a chiave la porta che da sull'esterno e dotare ogni ospite della chiave. Dopo il furto il proprietario ha fatto lo stretto indispensabile, ovvero chiamare la polizia. Ovviamente non abbiamo avuto indietro le nostre cose, né siamo stati rimborsati. Anzi, nemmeno la notte del furto ci è stata rimborsata dal proprietario (sarebbe stato gradito vista la mancanza di sicurezza). Ci ha fatto pagare addirittura una bottiglia d'acqua e una birra che abbiamo preso durante il soggiorno. A volte salta la corrente. La struttura non dispone di un generatore. Materasso del letto non molto comodo

The staff are super friendly and the location is in the sweet spot between beach, busyness and sights.

Keeping in mind this is a budget hotel, facilities were okay. However there should be no place for mold in any hotel, 5-star or budget.

Haluk and his personal were really great and helpful with everything we needed. Good energy all the time and we have got all the informations about Zanzibar we wanted 😍

We missed the safe at the room. Maybe we would recommended better light bulbs for more light in the room.

On the first night, I was robbed. My iPhone 16 Pro, 406 US dollars in cash, a power bank, the original iPhone cable, earphones, a waist bag (“nerka”), and a suitcase were stolen. In the suitcase, I had a Philips toothbrush charger, other chargers, sanitary pads, a Victorinox multitool, and a thermos mug — that’s all I can remember. Someone entered my room at night and took these items. There was a hole in the window. I was sleeping in my bed, so I assume someone sprayed something to keep me from waking up. Haluk went with me to the police station and gave me 50,000 Tanzanian shillings (about 17 euros). He also lent me his phone so I could call my friends and the embassy. However, he never informed me that I had received any messages from them. In reality, he did nothing to help me.

Very hospitable host who even helped organize our activities and guided us on where to go on our night outs. Room was clean and spacious. The it also a walking distance to the beach Facilities were good: hot water, WiFi. There was also good breakfast. Side note: Carry a power bank as Zanzibar generally has evening power outages

There is a unpleasant smell coming from the room entrance and the fridge can sometimes be noisy.
