Baymont by Wyndham Laurel

My family and I booked this hotel for one night, as our child had a ball tournament in the area. It was the only hotel in the area with rooms Available to accommodate us. The room we were given were not clean. There was molded food that had been left in the microwave, assuming from past tenants. The bath tub was dirty, the refrigerator had crumbs in it, and the floors were not vacuumed. The hot water was COLD and there were very limited towels and rags. The lady at the service desk was actually very calm and apologized for the issues and gave us a $20 off discount. I will NOT book this hotel again! I would rather driver an hour and a half back and forth!!

This hotel needs major updates, the staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The tub dripped all the time and tub felt clean it did not look clean. The toilet had bad rings around it. The breakfast was just okay. I've stayed in other Baymonts which is why I chose Baymont but it was a big disappointment. I don't normally give a bad review but they need to step up.

Upon arriving at the property it was rundown and poor in appearance, making it look unsafe. Our room was not cleaned and prepared for guests. We declined to stay at this property.

The front desk staff were so nice, and helpful, but the hotel is so dirty. Every surface in the room was sticky and dirty, even the walls. The microwave had clearly been on fire at some point and the door was literally melted. The tv’s were very old and hardly worked. The pillows were oozing something right through the pillow cases. Several of the lights and plugs did not work. The same thing in my friends room, and his smelled like an outhouse as well.

Had blood stains on sheets when we first arrived. Pillow cases looked dirty and had to have staff change sheets. Toilet looked dirty, bathroom floor needed a good cleaning. Had to fix chain in toilet almost every time used to keep it from running. Tv screen had issues & remote didn’t work well even when batteries were put in correctly. Room did not have a phone so when we had issues it was a trip to the front desk. Wouldn’t recommend this place.

Our room was ok, the AC didn’t work correctly, and the vanity light didn’t come on. The hotel was hard to find and the front entrance was not marked. The staff was helpful and friendly.

Someone had a car broken into while I was staying. I smelled marijuana in the parking lot. There was a roach in my room. The microwave did not work. I had to go to the front desk to ask for a coffee pot. I was on the bottom floor so there was a whole lot of noise coming from the room on top of mine. I didn't even get up for the continental breakfast after the first morning... During the heavy hours of the stay like earlier in the morning and in the evening there was no hot water in my room.

The water was brown in the bathroom. The microwave was old and rusty. The refrigerator wasn’t working properly.

Will not be back- not in a good area- back door to hotel was not even secured.

Entry door which was supposed to require room key to enter was never locked. Could not access WiFi. Manager had a special way to access it so we could be connected. Our room key pad was taped on with clear tape. Bedside lamp didn’t work so hubby had to switch it with desk lamp. We loved Laurel but this property is very tired and in desperate need of massive renovation.
