Room was already paid for a month in advance so the check in process should have been smooth but it wasn’t. It took about 25 mins before I was able to check in. The lamp in my room was filthy & did not work. Empty box of Kleenex on the desk.

"Sad representation of Sumter County."

I booked a room here for my mother and stepfather to stay here during Christmas time and it was a terrible experience for them. The rooms were terrible the toilet didn’t work the second night they where there and they had to move to another room where the door would not close all of the way. The first night the power went out and the fire alarm went off and nobody knew what to do. The phones in the room do not work either. This is a terrible place for elderly people to stay. Or anyone for that matter. I plan to call the Chamber of Commerce tomorrow and tell them about it as well.

Upon arrival at the said property, after we paid for the room, we were told the property is under renovation. we went to our room and was greeted by dirty linen in the hallway on the floor, very loud drilling noises. The furniture was broken, (the lamp shade fell off with a touch of the hand, the rolling chair had a worn hand rest)

Clean and newly renovated but could hear everything in the room above and beside us. Hot water wasn’t hot. Bed was stiff and noisy. Good location.

"FILTHY HOTEL AND ROOMS"

I've never been to a hotel more disgusting than this before. The first room we saw was filthy and smelled really bad. There were sticky ring stains and spills on all of the furniture. The bathroom has not been cleaned and the toilet would not flush. The shower stall door and inside had not been wiped down or cleaned. There was hair and dirt on the bathroom walls. The closet was full of dust. All the bed linen was dirty. Microwave and fridge were dirty. The front desk went to look at it and said they could change us over to the suite and she sent us up there to look. It was filthier!!! The stove had food stuck on it and the sink was dirty. When I tried to use the sink I heard water underneath the sink and opened the cabinet to find several moldy towels with a container full of water to catch the leak. That is the only sink and we couldn't find another hotel in town at 1030 at night. The bathroom was filthy like the first room, with toothpaste on the wall and towels that were set on the back of the toilet. every drawer was dirty and had debris in it. The floors were dirtier than the first room. There was no other room and no house keeping to come clean. It is absolutely wrong to make a paying guest stay in these gross conditions especially due to COVID!!! We had to stay inside due to freezing temps that night. The front desk said we would get a discounted room rate for the night and we could cancel our reservation with full refund of those two more nights we already paid for. They said we would get back the $80 deposit as well. The next morning, none of that was true!!! They charged us full price for the suite and have not refunded us for the 2 other nights. The $80 is still on hold in my account.

We had to wait about 20 min for someone to show up at front desk. East checkin but the air conditioning unit in our room siunded like a turbo jet. We knew we would get no rest and asked to be moved. Staff was very accomodatting. However, that room was not clean. The shower was dirty and floor in bathroom dirty. Lastly we used a side door and it would not even shut for safety. The only good thing about this visit was the nice lady at front desk. I, however, will never stay here again. Oh, the breakfast.. no plates, no butter, eggs were grainy, coffee was terrible. Just a horrible way to start morning.

"Horrific "

Our stay was very disappointing! When we first arrived the lobby was clean but upon arriving on our designated floor we got off the elevator only to see carpet that was nasty and stained all over and we saw holes in the walls and the molding was missing around the walls. When we entered our room it was clean however there was no trash can or phone to reach the front desk. The bathroom was clean but there was no toilet paper holder . The toilet paper was sitting on the toilet tank also the shower was awful there was no water pressure. The water drizzled out slowly which made it hard to take a good shower. When we booked the hotel it said breakfast was included from 6am to 9 am . We went to eat breakfast around 7am and everything was gone , no sugar or creamer for the coffee, no milk, no eggs or sausage nothing and when we informed the front desk of this we were told the construction workers took all the food so there wasn’t anything left for breakfast. I have stayed at numerous hotels as a travel nurse and this is by far the worst hotel I ever stayed in.
