Lumbini Garden Lodge

Excellent value. There was even hot water showers. No mosquitoes. 2 minutes walk to the tourist bus stop for buses to Pokhara and Kathmandu. 15 minutes walk to the main temple. The owner helped me arrange bus tickets and pointed out where I could rent bikes.

Furniture and bedding are a bit dated.

Great location, right next to the Lumbini Development zone where all the monasteries are and the sacred garden where the Buddha was born. The street that it is on also has a load of shops and restaurants which is handy and it was about 150m from the tourist bus stop to Pokhara. The room was cool, with AC and a fan available. It had an ensuit bathroom. It was clean. Great value for money.

The power went out a couple of times during the night, but we were in the middle of the storm so it could hardly be helped

The owner was a good communicator and worked hard to get the power, lights and air conditioning back on . He was kind and so was the other staff . They let me borrow the kettle too.

I was concerned about the power outages because it was very hot and humid at the time of my visit. Fan, lights and air conditioning would go off. It was resolved ultimately . The lock on my door was also problematic because I could lock myself in 😳
