Comfort Inn South - Springfield

Breakfast was more than expected, and the pool/spa was well maintained compared to other places I've stayed in Springfield.

Their breakfast had a lot of choices and the rooms were very clean. Staff was friendly.

We were happy with our experience.

I like the staff. They are very friend and helpful and accommodating. The facility is clean it just needs to be updated in some places. Breakfast was standard but the staff kept it clean and plenty.

The ice machines should be updated. And the tubs were difficult to step out of. They are too high for my daughter and me. We nearly fell. Also need new linen. The pillow cases were not very white anymore.

The location was convenient- definitely not a luxury hotel, mediocre, but family friendly, budget friendly. Beds are not very comfortable, staf was exceptional.

Beds, outdated design-

Air conditioner had a funny smell, the bathroom light kept flickering, beds were not comfortable, room could have been much cleaner

I was very disappointed in how we were greeted when we got there, they weren't going to let us stay because we are considered locals and this was supposed to be for our big 20th anniversary and my husband's birthday and it put a damper on the entire weekend. One manager decided to let us stay and then the lady that checked us in, I wish we had gotten her name, and said just remember in the future you're not allowed to stay here because you're a local. That puts a bad reputation on comfort inn, which we will not ever stay at again and that puts a bad reputation on Springfield when locals from Republic Missouri are not allowed to stay at their hotel. I understand that the owner may have had trouble in the past with locals and the pool but that should not hold all of us responsible.
