The breakfast was "okay", was at least warm. The facility was quiet.

The windows are all fogged up (failed seal) with room darkening shades sealing them. The shower flooded the bathroom since it didn't have a lip at the edge. No coffee maker in the room.

"Be warned"

I am genuinely not someone who leaves bad reviews. I usually let small issues go, and I understand hospitality workers deal with difficult people every day. But this experience was so hostile, humiliating, and concerning that I honestly feel obligated to warn other travelers before they spend money here. What happened during my stay at the Wingate by Wyndham Uniontown was not normal customer service frustration or a simple misunderstanding. It was one of the most uncomfortable hotel experiences I have ever had. I arrived with a prepaid Expedia reservation after my phone unexpectedly died right before check-in. Because my wallet had recently been stolen, my ID and reservation confirmation were stored digitally on my phone. I calmly explained that I simply needed to briefly charge my phone to access my information. Instead of handling the situation professionally, the manager DJ immediately began loudly telling me to “get out” in front of a packed lobby full of guests. He repeatedly raised his voice at me, aggressively demanded identification while refusing to let me access it, and treated me like I was some kind of criminal despite the fact that I repeatedly explained I had already PAID for my stay. The second my phone powered on and I showed my reservation and ID, I was checked in without issue whatsoever, proving the entire public confrontation was completely unnecessary. Unfortunately, things only escalated from there. Despite BOTH of my reservations already being prepaid through Expedia, the hotel later charged me an additional $150 directly. When questioned about it, DJ claimed it was due to a “weekend rate” and “nonpayment.” After reviewing my confirmations, cancellation notices, refund records, and payment history, it appears one of my prepaid reservations may have been canceled or altered after the fact and replaced with a substantially higher hotel charge. That is an incredibly serious issue. To make matters even worse, my guest — who is currently undergoing cancer treatment — was later aggressively confronted and threatened with police while quietly waiting inside for transportation after checkout despite causing absolutely no disturbance whatsoever. Afterward, when I called hoping to speak with management, I was disturbed to hear that complaints involving DJ are apparently a recurring issue, especially involving him threatening guests with police. Based on my own experience, I absolutely believe it. Travel is stressful enough without worrying about being publicly humiliated, aggressively confronted, threatened with police, or hit with questionable charges after booking prepaid reservations online. I have retained screenshots of confirmations, cancellation notices, refund records, and direct charges associated with this stay

The convenience to highway

The manager’s attitude towards my concerns about my first room that smelled like cat pee and he acted so surprised! ( Hotel allows cats and dogs), ice machine didn’t work, dog barking Saturday night, no manager on duty Saturday night, smell of weed Saturday night

"Comfortable and had everything we needed"

This was a great place to stop for some sleep in between a long drive. The beds were great, the bathroom vanity a wonderful size (we like being able to put things down on a counter), and the coffee was wonderful. We checked in at 1:30 am and had no problem.

The hallways do smell like cigarette smoke. The room itself was fine.
