Sun Island Motel

Left a message for site manager to call me and they never did. Otherwise room was just fine except for the heavy smell of cleaning fluid.

Everything was always clean and I love the staff

The room was nicely updated and clean. The area it is in ok. I thought it was a different location

Never received chechlk in info ..I wasted my money and time. No one on site to help no one returned any of my calls. If u cant rent same day they shouldnt take your money or reservation

It was exactly what I needed. Clean, no frills, everything was clean and comfortable! I will be back if I am ever in the area.

Everything was great! Definitely not a fancy place, but clean, comfortable and quiet. Would definitely stay again and recommend!

Was further from the beach than described. Hot water for shower took a while. Otherwise was great! Clean and quiet at night. Great pool. Kitchenette was perfect!

It should be clear at booking that this is more like a vending machine than a motel — no staff on site. Eventually they email a door code. The room is comfy. The overall property needs a refresh around the exterior

This is the worst motel experience we have had in 60 years of traveling the nation. We arrived at 5:00PM. No one works there. There is a sign that tells you to check in online. We went ahead and did that. We got no response back. There were two phone numbers to call. We called both numbers and got answering machines. We needed to use a bathroom so we left to look for a bathroom. We then called hotels.com and they were able to reach the motel and get us a code to use. It took us an hour to get the code. We had a dinner cruise reservation and were running late because of the delay. We are seniors with a disabled daughter and this caused a lot of stress. If hotels.com had not reached the motel we have no idea what might have happened. I was able to reach the manager by phone the next day and she was rude. The room was clean, but the ac does not cool the room enough. If you stay here you will be taking a big chance about getting checked in to your room and no one works at the property.
