Extended Stay America Premier Suites - Phoenix - Chandler - Downtown

What I liked, clean room (modern design), friendly staff, the price and great location. Near the freeway and lots of stores and restaurants.

What I didn't like, the shower head had no adjustments, the dog area doesn't have grass, it's all rocks. The gym 🏋🏽‍♂️ has no weights and no remote to the TV and only 1 treadmill and 2 bikes. No breakfast.

The location. The manager was kind and there were two staff during the day who were also kind.

1. The worst part was how badly the room smelled. It was horrible and did not go away the entire time I stayed. 2. I booked and paid for a room with a bathtub. I was told I could not get a room with a tub unless I paid $25 additional per day. I was told by the manager that it was because I had dogs. I told her my dogs were able to stay in the car overnight. She did nothing to rectify that. 3. The evening staff were awful. Rude and not helpful whatsoever. I’ve already expressed this to the manager.

The room was a good size.

The washers and dryers were not working properly with app. . Shower door handle kept falling off because it was not put on correctly. Price got too high! Needed to stay 2 more nights but couldn't afford the increasing price.

Hotel was nice, great area, reasonable, very clean.

Location

The staff were incredibly rude. I had to holler for assistance for someone to come up front 3 of the 5 times I went to the front desk. When I looked for a room to stay in Chandler, I specifically searched a room with a tub and was told I would not get a room with a tub unless I paid an additional $25 a night when I arrived. I was also told that I would need to come get the things such as a toaster, coffee pot, plates, etc if I wanted them. When I did, my hands were full with groceries and I asked the staff member to help me bring them to my room and she told me no because she was the only one working. The flyer specially says someone will bring the items to your room for you. Last, I cut my finger and asked the front desk for a bandaid and was told they don’t have one. Not even one to sell me. What kind of hotel doesn’t have a first aide kit? This was, hands-down, the worst experience I’ve had in a hotel ever. I do not know how they rec’d the score they rec’d because they’re awful.
