"Westin Zhongshan, needs to be so much better"

Checked in late Wednesday night, after the drive from Hong Kong airport, very limited English at reception. Tried to order room service or a meal in the restaurant 10:45pm everything closed. Limited dining in the nearby retail space, all was closed. Take RMB as the convienence store (7/11) doesnt take cards. Had breakfast in the main restaurant as Westin club is not open for Breakfast, Western food has no taste, self service coffee, as if the hotel is going through the motions of closing / cost cutting. Room upgrade was good, nice 1 bedroom suite, cleaning especially in the shower & toilet needs improvement. Of the 48 TV changes maximum of 2 in English. Bed was comfortable. Club lounge cocktail hour the bare minimum on offer with no service, we you ask for something staff use phone to translate English to Chinese, while this is practical, doesn't set a very good standard. I would expect alot more from a Westin. Its not good enough.
