This is my favorite place I’ve ever stayed. It’s a 300 year old Spanish hacienda. Beautiful. Well maintained grounds. Extremely helpful staff. Wonderful, daily breakfast included. All of this said, this is an old building. Do not expect modern amenities like an in room tv, coffee maker or fridge. Do expect an in room wood burning fireplace that the staff lights for you every night. Do expect a very very cool, old bar. Do not miss their opening night drink including a 3 song performance by an indigenous band. Do expect an excellent in house restaurant with not crazy prices. I just really, really love this place!

We had come here once on a group tour. We came in late and left early, and ever since, I was haunted by the fact that there were so many undiscovered things that I felt I wanted to see; so we came back with friends and stayed for 2 days. This incredible, historic site has nooks and crannies to explore, lush gardens to walk through, horseback riding, and hiking paths. If you can get to hear the music of the Waukees, an indigenous band, you will hear the whispers of their ancestors in the melody. I love thus place!

The little pub is only open briefly and on occasion. I would love to see regular cocktail hours there. It is unique, beautiful, interesting, and comfortable.

The staff here absolutely made our trip! They went out of their way to be kind to us and our girls. Oscar did so many fun things for our kids and the manager on duty (I’m so sorry I forgot her name!) was unbelievably kind and made us feel at home. It is a historic property so there’s no heat but the fires they lit every night were lovely and with the hot water bottles we stayed plenty warm. The breakfast was good and the ground are absolutely serene and stunning. The restaurant was quite a bit overpriced and very average food, not quite worth the money, but everything else was wonderful. We’d absolutely stay here again!
