Palazzo Verone

The location is beautiful, in a much smaller, peaceful, authentic town up in the serene mountains behind Amalfi. There are 1000 steps that guide you on a "shortcut" to reach the coast of Amalfi from Pontone( palazzo Verone site), which we utilized at least 4 times during our 3 night stay. The downhill is easy and takes 20 minutes if you're in shape, the uphill is a bit more strenuous and took us about 40, but the bus provides easy transport (when it arrives, so plan ahead). The walking path takes you through awesome mountainside homes and dwellings on the most gorgeous stone path. Caught it at sunset a couple times and it was breathtaking. Michele, our host, was fabulous. Whether it was catching up and sharing life stories when we made it back early one evening, serenading us by guitar and vocals, or recommending fabulous places to visit and must-see sites if you're staying in Pontone, we loved every second. Ravello was a great suggestion, and would highly recommend visiting! The hearty break(slooow) on the balcony every morning was wonderful and made for great built-in fuel so our mornings felt peaceful and carefree, as we were able to bare all our energy towards planning for each adventure-packed and busy day ahead. The restaurant in Pontone "L'antico Borgo" is a must-visit, and quickly became one of our repeat favorites. Also recommended by Michele. We are so glad we chose to stay here, and would have loved to stay longer, but even in our short time we saw SO many surrounding towns and sites. Would also be a great location to just to stay put for a week and enjoy the premises and views, and surrounding towns. Thank you for everything, and keep well until we are back! :) Mueller Girls

Bom pequeno almoço, feito de propósito para nós e à hora combinada, preparado na varanda, com uma vista incrível sobre a costa e Amalfi.

O estacionamento é um pouco limitativo.

Außergewöhnliche Lage mit tollem Blick auf Amalfi. Michele ist ein herzlicher Gastgeber, der tolle Tipps für einen gelungen Urlaub bereit hält. Gut zu Fuß sollte man sein, hier bleibt oder wird man fit.

Es gibt nichts zu bemängeln.

Michele und Bruna sind außergewöhnliche Gastgeber - absolut sympathisch und hilfsbereit bei allen Fragen, ohne dabei aufdringlich zu sein. Die Lage des Hauses ist atemberaubend, den Blick auf Amalfi und die umliegenden Hänge könnte man tagelang genießen. Für großgewachsene Personen würde ich das größere Zimmer empfehlen, aber Ausblick und Ausstattung sind auch im anderen Zimmer sehr gut. Das liebevoll vorbereitete Frühstück kann man am Fenster im großen Aufenthaltsraum genießen - break"slow" statt break"fast" ist die Devise! Sehr zu empfehlen sind auch die Wanderungen in der Umgebung, viel schöner als der Trubel in den gehypten Orten!

Uns hat es sehr gefallen und wir würden wieder kommen - aufgrund meiner Körpergröße lieber im größeren Zimmer :-)

The location is wonderful. It is quiet and the view is very nice; to wake up and to be so quiet, only some birds, to have that view over Amalfi and sea...it's heaven on earth. The host is very friendly and helps you to decide what you can visit, his hints suited us very well! We enjoyed serving breakfast there and having small talks with a local. Definitely, we will come back here.

Absolutely outstanding experience. Michele cares for his guests like Father Jesus cares for his children.

Die Unterkunft war sehr besonders. Es war keine gewöhnliche Unterkunft. Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Wir würden jederzeit wieder dahin fahren man muss gut zu Fuß sein bis dorthin fährt kein Auto. Also man muss entweder mit dem Bus den Berg rauf und dann Treppen absteigen oder wir waren sportlich unterwegs,…ich Mutter und Tochter wir sind auch mal alle Treppen von der Amalfiküste heraufgelaufen. Der Ausblick einzigartig. Micele und seine Frau waren sehr gastfreundlich. Der Urlaub war so kurzweilig Michele hat uns super Tipps gegeben, die wir ohne ihn nie erfahren hätten …wie die Wanderung zu dem Wasserfall und was man in Capri so am besten machen kann und Ravello da kann man hinlaufen und auch zurücklaufen. Einzigartig. 🤩

Es gibt nichts, was uns nicht gefallen hat!

Las vistas eran preciosas, el lugar muy cómodo y tranquilo y Michele fue un fantástico host. Recomiendo mucho quedarse acá.
