Carmen's place

Carmen’s place is very special! She makes every effort daily for each guest that they have the best experience on the Island. Her meals are delicious. She has consistent communication before and during for transportation and daily activities options. You also have to enjoy the hummingbirds and sloth

Staying at Carmen’s Pace is wonderful. You are felt welcome from the moment you arrive and Carmen and Marcel cannot be more helpful. Breakfasts are delicious, including a huge platter of fresh fruit, home made bread, omelettes and pancakes. We particularly enjoyed the evening meals where we all ate together. The food Carmen prepared was exceptional and the chat around the table lovely. Carmen helped us to organise great trips and any water taxis that we needed. We had a fantastic stay and were sad to leave.

Many things, but the best is Carmen’s hospitality and kindness: she was extremely helpful to plan our trip, she fed us with amazing and plentiful food (I bet you can’t finish all the meals), and made our stay so comfortable and convenient! It was a privilege to be just by the shore, in such a quiet place that looks like paradise. Carmen’s place has several places to relax and hang out (hammocks, couch, dining area). The room is small but very comfortable, with a proper shower and mosquito net on the bed, and stunning views of the sea. Being surrounded by wildlife is amazing too - you can easily see monkeys, sloths and dolphins in the surroundings!

Nothing, everything was amazing

Carmen e Marcel sono due persone splendide, sono disponibili e ti aiutano in tutto. La struttura è un paradiso, immersa nella natura ma ben collegata alle altre isole tramite taxi boat. Super consigliato, soprattutto per la cucina di Carmen!!

Assolutamente nulla

Le petit déjeuner et les repas étaient incroyables, grâce à Marcel nous avons pu nourrir des requins depuis le ponton, le canoë à disposition pour explorer les environs, la terrasse sur l'eau et les hamacs pour chiller, l'accueil de Carmen et Marcel est chaleureux ils sauront vous faire passer d'agréables soirées

TOT!! La Carmen ens va fer un upgrade a la jungle cabin, les habitacions de dalt, sense que li demanessim i la veritat que va ser tot un encert. La tranquilitat i les vistes desde l’habitació son una passada. Només arribar vam veure tot el que havia pescat en Marcel i que la Carmen cuinaria després per sopar, brutal. (Es una gran cuinera i persona) El que va acabar de fer perfecte la nostra estada es el fet de que tinguin dos taxistes (taxiboat) de confiança que et poden portar a visitar tan les illes dels voltants com les altres zones de bastimentos. A part tenen un cayak i un padelsurf per fer servir i veure les zones dels voltants. Estada mes que perfecte! Si tornem per Panama, tornarem segur a Carmens Place!!! Moltes gràcies per tot!

Carmen en Marcel hebben een prachtige plek gecreëerd waar we (mijn dochter van 29 en ik) ons erg "thuis" voelden. Door hun persoonlijke aandacht en open houding naar hun gasten vonden we deze plek een ideale en erg fijne basis om het eiland te ontdekken. Ze deden suggesties voor tripjes, regelden via hun contacten watertaxi's, leenden ons snorkels en maakten een heerlijk ontbijt. 's Avonds was er de mogelijkheid om een door Carmen bereide maaltijd "mee te eten" op hun prachtige steiger: zeker doen als je hier komt- mijn vegetarisch etende dochter kreeg een eigen optie.. De familiekamer die we hadden, hoog op palen in het oerwoud achter hun huis, keek uit naar de baai en het oerwoud rondom was indrukwekkend... We hebben er genoten!!

Dinner was amazing - Carmen is an experienced chef and the results show. The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming and it was a real delight to spend time with the owners and the other guests.

the food here is fantastic. Healthy and tasty. Carmen goes out of her way to keep your dietary needs in mind. Marcel is ever present to answer any questions and for dinner time convo. This isn't really a hotel but more like a sustainably focused homestay.

I didn't read the website well enough and didn't realize that there was no air conditioning. The first night was rough because I was stewing over my mistake, but when I realized that this is actually an ecologically concious property, I realized that this property was a diamond in the rough. Sometimes you don't get what you want, but you get what you need, and this property comes with subtle life lessons about conservation.
