Hotel Boutique Marbore

Property is open 24 hours which was great when we arrived at 11.45pm. Our room had a lovely big balcony, good area for clothes, good shower. Best of all the staff were very helpful and most spoke English. The location was perfect for wandering through the historic area, malecon, and minutes away from the Plaza debNovios where the action is at night - restaurants, bars etc.

La primera noche no hubo agua en el hotel y no pudimos tomar una ducha, hasta la siguiente noche. El aire acondicionado no funcionaba muy bien, aunque me cambiaron de habitación y el aire acondicionado estaba mejor, no era suficiente para el calor que se sentía.

This little gem was right in the heart of Santa Marta Historic Centre and very close to everything, so the incentive to map out and walk to the various sights was good. My score on cleanliness was due to the fact that when I did not need a full service clean (maybe just needed towels), the housekeeper did not discard the trash. It could have been a language barrier, but I just thought when she brought the towels, she would have emptied the trash. However, she was very nice and attentive. Comfort was a little off because of a constant electrical hum that would be louder in the night when all was quiet. Other than that, we will stay here again when we return to Santa Marta. Leidy at the front desk was the sweetest, and they attended to our needs and enjoyment of the city. I didn't have breakfast, but my friend says she really enjoyed the breakfast.
