Isafjordur Hostel

This hostel is located right in the city centre, next to restaurants and a supermarket; there is parking that is a free of charge. The place is clean and nice and I can recommend it. The kitchen is fully equipped :)

Super miejsce na czas zawodów Fossavatnsgangan. Dobrze wyposażona kuchnia.

Cena za łóżko w wieloosobowym pokoju była naszym zdaniem wygórowana. Trochę nas zaskoczyła dodatkowa opłata za pościel. Pokój był bardzo mały i spartańsko wyposażony.

The staff, albeit in a different location, are lovely. The location is also great, right in the centre of the town.

This is the dirtiest hostel I have ever seen. The sheets had stains on them, the room was covered with another guests belongings whom was staying long term, the kitchen was covered in crumbs (bench and floor) and mouldy food left on the bench, dirty soaking wet towels left on the bathroom floor. For the price of the room plus the 3500 ISK fee to rent the bedding, this was the most expensive booking I had in 10 days, and by far the worst.The staff were extremely helpful and managed to move me to another of their locations, but that was the only positive.

Very good location, not too big hostel in size, convenient luggage storage at the hostel. Big common space, all equipment needed for cooking.

The common space has a huge window and everyone in the kitchen is on display. The curtains are roll-down ones, so that obstructs the view completely. Maybe just basic translucent curtains might make it cosier. Just a suggestion, no big deal. Also I did not notice in the email confirmation, that sleeping bag is needed, so I needed to rent a duvet for a fee, also not a big deal, but better to be aware!
