Cavalier South Beach Hotel

Estuve en este hotel hace unos años y volví porque había tenido una buena experiencia en general y un desayuno incluído espectacular. En esta oportunidad todo fue diferente: el check-in tardísimo (a eso de las 16:30) con el pretexto de que estaban preparando una habitación que no fuera cercana al lobby y ruidosa. La habitación finalmente asignada, no sólo era ruidosa, ya que una pared lindaba con un motor que funcionaba permanentemente y hacía ruido, sino que además hacía vibrar el espejo del baño. Para completar, la habitación daba a la calle trasera que tenía luminaria prendida toda la noche y el cierre de las ventanas no llegaba a impedir que la luz pasara. El desayuno muy pobre, a elegir entre 4 opciones (elegí una con frutas y me dijeron "frutas no tenemos"). De las 3 que quedaban, todas dejan un recuerdo mediocre. Tampoco es abundante. El personal trataba de compensar con trato amable pero no alcanza para volver a elegirlo.

Staff molto cortese e ambientazione cubana. Camera di giuste dimensioni.

Le finestre della camera non si possono aprire e la nostra affacciava direttamente su un garage, non essendoci tende abbiamo sempre dovuto tenere serrande chiuse per non farci vedere. Colazione un po’ essenziale con un menù differente rispetto ai clienti che non la avevano compresa nella prenotazione.

The hotel is truly superb. It is located almost directly on the beachfront—quiet, authentic, and featuring beautifully designed rooms in a loft-industrial style. The vintage staircase and elevator add a unique charm. I was especially impressed by the lobby, which combines the restaurant, reception desk, a small bar, and display cabinets filled with fascinating and elegant curiosities. The entire atmosphere feels like a refined boutique hotel rather than a standard chain property. After my flight, I was feeling unwell and quite chilled. When I approached the reception desk, I was fortunate to be assisted by Mr. William Morales. He was exceptionally polite, attentive, and immediately arranged for me to be moved to a warmer room. The situation was resolved instantly, and he personally escorted me there. I was truly impressed by his professionalism and kindness. The rooms are impeccably clean, and the staff is consistently courteous. I also very much enjoyed the restaurant. Another great advantage is that the hotel provides sun loungers and umbrellas on the beach. However, on my second day, umbrellas were unexpectedly not available to guests. While loungers were offered, umbrellas were described as a “luxury.” Unfortunately, this resulted in severe sunburn, and I had to stop enjoying the beach for the remainder of my stay. This was disappointing, especially since neighboring beach areas had umbrellas open at the same time. Despite this issue, the comfort of the room, the quality of the bedding, and the overall friendliness of the staff helped to balance the experience. I truly enjoyed my stay overall. A special thank you to Mr. William Morales for his outstanding service and for making my stay more comfortable.

A beach scenario—Europe (Cyprus or Italy): "Madam, would you care for a sun lounger? An umbrella? Water? A shower?" The USA—Miami Beach: "Could I get a sun lounger?" The beach staff: "Which hotel are you with, Ma'am? Yes, certainly—here is your lounger." "And could I have an umbrella?" The beach staff: "An umbrella is a luxury. Just soak up the sun, Ma'am! Good luck."
