Lafayette Hotel & Club

My wife and I just spent a Wednesday night date night here and it was extraordinary. We found parking in the street check and went to our King room on second floor which a peek a boo view of pool. No balcony. We will try that next time. It’s an extra $50 midweek. The holiday decorations are so extraordinary but so is the entire interior design of the rooms. We enjoyed a drink in our room from the most elaborate in room bar I’ve ever seen. Then lucked into a cancellation at Quixote for dinner where the food and drinks were superb. We weren’t quite prepared for the crush of people mid week but this place is very popular. By late morning g we checked out. Left our bags at front desk and enjoyed a most delightful pool side breakfast while many guests were enjoying the pool and the San Diego sunshine. Exemplary service everywhere. Highly recommend.

The Lafayette Hotel is stunning! We stayed for one night , they accommodated us with our 2 small pups. The service is 10/10, friendly amazing staff!!! From concierge, valet, bar, and restaurant staff!! The room was beautiful, the bed was very comfortable. I will say the only downside no fault of the hotel, is it gets busyyyyyy!! Lots of college kids, and very loud if you book a pool side room. However, they provide ear plugs. If you want a unique experience, take in all the beautiful decor, and great service, definitely worth a stay!!!

It's always such an amazing experience. You guys really have the most unique hotel we've ever been to. It's literally the only hotel I've ever been where I could say I totally get why someone would live at a hotel! The vibe here is awesome. You literally never have to leave if you don’t want to. Rooms are so unique and homey in the best way. You can hang out in the room or go down and enjoy the craziness. Lines for drinks at night on the weekends can be intense but the drinks are fantastic. We’ve been to a lot of cool hotels but this one is our favorite. Staff is awesome. I will say I’m not sure I understand the tickets I bought to Lou Lou’s as we didn’t need them but other than that 11/10 for vibes, liveliness and overall feeling. Plus the food is great, boozy milkshakes incredible

The Lafayette is a great spot to stay or even visit. The overall vibe, staff, food/drinks are top notch. You’ll enjoy it.

The hotel that I actually really wanted to stay at even though I am semi local. It lived up to the hype it was so beautiful and fun. Service was great we got a room upgrade for my birthday which was so amazing. You do have to pay for parking but it was cheaper ($38) than hotels in LA that charge $50. You can easily walk to local spots but you have food options and entertainment options at the hotel so you definitely don't have to leave the hotel if you dont want.

Amazing all around A+++ Decor, attention to detail, vibe, all needs met and exceeded. Feels like stepping into a time capsule. Very very fun!

Similar to The Madonna Inn but 2.0, this whimsical getaway is a mix of Soho House charm and Wes Anderson magic. The entire stay, starting from the personalized texting before you even arrive - to the tiny customized trinkets (letterhead or bright pink plastic water cups) made you feel lush and at home. The warmth of the staff is unforgettable too, from the 24-hr diner waiters to the latte-making concierge desk. Coming up from L.A. for a night and day stay, this was the most charming and darling, hospitable hotel I have visited. Definitely in my top favorite spots I have stayed at. Don’t change!

Another great stay at the Lafayette! Great location in North Park, amazing ambiance, and friendly, professional staff. I booked a oolside king, what could be better? Also memorable, breakfast at Beginners Diner and bowling at the Gutter. Please note, this is a very happening scene for young people, and the music is loud around the pool area especially on the weekend. Not your feng shui crystal toting retreat center.

I stay at the Lafayette any time I am in San Diego and have sent friends local and afar there. Can not recommend highly enough. Either for a night out, amazing and incomparable meal, or coffee or cocktail you want to see and be at the Lafayette! The level of care by staff, attention to detail in design and hospitality, and master craftsmanship displayed by the whole team is incomparable. We were especially impressed with Amelia, Aylea and Michelle and frankly every single staff member at every property venue. And yes, we hit them all - bowling alley to pool bar to nightclub to diner to Quixote. Book it!!!

This hotel is truly everything you think it will be. Fun, eclectic, unique, lively & a vibe! The service was impeccable from the maintenance man who had to come fix our light switch, to the baristas at the front desk, the pool attendants at the cabana, the doormen at the front of house & the servers at LouLous that were serving at my friends wedding this weekend. The food & drinks were tasty and affordable. The room was out of this world. I loved the mattress & pillows and had the best night sleep. I was here for a wedding but would love to come back for a long weekend with my girlfriends. It’s the perfect spot that truly felt all inclusive where we didn’t have to leave the property for anything! 10/10 would recommend
