The Jefferson, Washington, DC

I can't emphasize enough how welcoming and comfortable this hotel is, they don't miss anything. Genuinely friendly staff at your service with a sincere appreciation for your company, not pompous attitudes as I've experienced at other locations of this caliber. Everyone went above and beyond to ensure I was completely accommodated regardless of the request. Boutique in style, the hotel is easy to get around and steps above the ordinary across the board. The bar is beautiful elegant yet cozy and warm, service was attentive and friendly during happy hour, don't miss the complimentary olive assortment ! The rooms are graciously appointed, in traditional world charm with super comfortable beds and the custom toiletries are the best. The bathroom is large with ample storage, double vanity, a separate toilet closet and a spacious shower so you don't have to stand directly under a shower head. The shower has a small built in seat which I used to shave my legs without water streaming down washing all the shaving cream off and I loved the in ceiling radiant heat that kept the bathroom super warm. They have a lovely coffee/tea station set up in the bar on the main level in the morning and during the rest of the day a spiced cider station in an adjacent hall that leads down to the fitness center. Don't miss the cider, it's delicious ! The fitness area was most appreciated and stocked to the nines with towels, fresh fruit and hydration. The restaurant just off the lobby, features a beautiful fireplace and the original glass barrel ceiling, it's just gorgeous. Concierge there for your every need, I absolutely loved the Jefferson, can't wait to go back !

Staff was great. Room service timely. Very nice business stay

My wife and I stayed at the Jefferson Hotel on a business trip. From the moment we arrived we were greeted with a very friendly, super accommodating staff at the front desk check in who actually walked me to the elevator upon check in while offering me a hot apple cider. Our experience just got better from there. The concierge, Paul Levermore, was very helpful and kind. He went to out of his way to make me a tea even though the coffee/ tea station was closed for the day. At dinner, the service from Amber at the Quill restaurant was really exemplary. We had a delicious meal served with great hospitality. The maid service, the complimentary water, the staff’s attentiveness were all outstanding. Katie at the bar was also extremely competent bartender and exceptionally nice. She came into the Library and offered me a water while I was waiting for my wife. We are very glad that we chose this well managed, high end property for our stay. I did have the pleasure of speaking with the manager Omar who also provided us with Exemplary service, getting our suitcases, seeing us to the door, making sure a car was called for us etc.. The hotel itself is Amazing, many cool private spots to hang out and explore, very rich in History as well. One of the best if not the best experiences that we’ve had at any hotel, and we have stayed at many many high end hotels. The Jefferson is 10/10 Highly Recommended ,We would absolutely love to come back and stay again.

We have stayed at the Jefferson many times over the years. We always have a wonderful experience. The staff is warm, friendly and professional. The room , a one bedroom suite, was well appointed and very comfortable. One very minor gripe. The front desk staff on this trip was not very professional or friendly. Not a huge deal as the rest of the staff was fantastic. Hopefully a little coaching will help the front desk staff. We will definitely be back!
