"Sketchy area"

I am a single mom who booked a room here late at night to stay safe when I found it difficult to drive. When I pulled up, there were men on the balconies and in the parking lot, hanging out, smoking and drinking and playing music. I was with my young son (it was around 10 pm) and did not feel comfortable getting out of the car to go to the front desk. We drove another to 20 minutes to another hotel which worked out well for us even though we had to pay double. That's how much I would not stay here, I left knowing I probably wouldn't get a refund (surprise surprise, they said I can't get a refund because I never checked in).
