The location

The room was dirty, the pool was filthy, and the staff was nowhere to be found and unwilling to be helpful.

"Great facilities overall - just get the staff to be more friendly."

The gentleman on reception at the time of our arrival could have been more friendly. We booked our rooms several weeks ago and yet we still had to have upstairs rooms for them to be together.

"Not pleasant"

The breakfast was fine.

Our room had bedbugs. I was awakened in the middle of the night and my arm was itching and had bites on it. As I examined the bed, I found live bedbugs. I informed the front desk worker (Cole) and he seemed to act like it wasn't a big deal, didn't offer an apology. He said "The best I can do is offer you a different room if we have it." No contact from a manager, no one checked on us.

"Fine for a road trip stop, affordable."

It was totally fine for our purposes- to stay one night on a 2 day road trip , cute area that had local businesses very nearby. There's a lot to do in Springfield - we will be back to stay and explore a few days. There was an issue with a weird smell in the decaf coffee in the breakfast room- the front desk staff thanked me for telling him and said he would address it.

It was not clear that the parking lot is a dead end. Signage would be helpful to avoid having to back the car out of it.

"Good"

The front desk lady was super nice!

Reserved 2 queen beds got 2 doubles, smelled like mildew, shower wasn't clean, and beds were hard.
