Quality Inn Ormond Beach - Daytona

It was very dirty

No room service, in the lobby and in the passage where the carpet is, have a funky smell. No change of sheet or towel at all.

How I didn’t get my $100 cash deposit back when I left and got forced to stay when I wanted to leave due to how dirty the room was but was told I would not be able to get my payment refunded till next week so I was stuck there

Upon arrival the front desk area was super hot and seemed like the AC was broken. The common areas were not very clean and the elevator was dirty as well. Got to the room and it was much nicer and cooler than the rest of the hotel. Seems like there was a lot of remodeling happening as the room seemed to be updated. However, the curtain looked like it had mold on it. The AC worked great. The fridge worked. There were no hangers. The bathroom tub was gross. Looked like it was not fully cleaned out from the prior guest as there was cream soap on the bottom of the tub. The water pressure was ok. The pool looked like it was dirty so did not go in that which was disappointing. Breakfast was minimal, so also disappointing. Did not stay in the room long, but it served its purpose. The area had hotel was quiet. There are a lot of cosmetic facelifts that the hotel could use, but otherwise it was ok.

Not a major issue, but I expected one thing and got something else.

There was homeless people everywhere. They where doing construction we couldn’t sleep. The pool had debri from the pool we never had toilet paper or clean towels. Would have been better off sleeping in my car. Breakfast was always gone quick or someone accidentally shut the door and couldn’t get it open.

The bathroom was dirty the towels were dirty didn’t not enjoy my stay at all.

The property was under construction, which is fine, however the first room they assigned us was not only under construction it was still dirty from the workers being there what seems like moments before. There was an old ripped out air conditioner unit laying in the middle of the room. The floor was covered in dirt. We went to the front desk to make sure they didn’t assign this room in error and they confirmed that was the right room. We asked for a 2nd room. That room was worse than the first room and had bugs present. Hair was all over the bed sheets and dirty towels still left in the room. We immediately left and asked for a refund. They confirmed a refund without hesitation, but I have not received it yet as this all just happened last night. Staff was pleasant to deal with, but they knew their product was well under par.

i didnt like the front desk customer service, room was dirty. bed made a lot of noise just getting in and out.
