The staff were exceptionally helpful and thoughtful, the atmosphere relaxing yet attentive, and the location and facilities top-class. Friendly, relaxed small spa and gym. Generous and delicious breakfast. Great beachfront walks. Easily accessible by train - station c. 20m walk.

Had a fabulous stay at the Marine. There's a lovely feel to the place, and it has been refurbished really well. The service is great - with a particularly helpful concierge. All our meals were excellent - the menu, both lunch and dinner, is pitched just right. We were pretty active, enjoying beach walks and using the hotel's free bikes. Spa was excellent too. This was all helped by being lucky with the weather - giving us amazing views of snow topped mountains on Arran. Next time we might play golf!

This is truly a wonderful hotel. It's reasonably local to us and we try and visit a couple of times a year. From the moment you arrive every member of staff is friendly, helpful and welcoming. The bar is relaxing with an excellent selection of drinks and a lovely atmosphere. The restaurant serves delicious food. It's an old fashioned, traditional place, perfect for switching off from life and relaxing. Looking forward to our next visit.

I had a wonderful stay at the Marine hotel and can’t wait to return. Jodie in the spa team gave me one of the best facials I’ve ever had, was so impressed with this. Additionally the service from the waitress (didn’t get her name) for my afternoon tea was excellent - she was friendly and gave brilliant customer service. Likewise at breakfast a staff member approached me and asked about what I thought of the afternoon tea the previous day, I was very impressed with this and thought it was very proactive. The breakfast itself was outstanding and probably one of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve had! - I had the pancakes and a couple of pastries! The woman on reception who checked me in was also very friendly and helpful. Overall I would say all of the staff are a credit to the hotel. The room was comfortable, beautifully decorated and had a nice (side) view. It was also a comfortable temperature. I would 100% recommend the hotel, and have already suggested friends and family go. I can’t wait to return!
