This is a very special place. It’s been having a hard time. It’s got historical significance to Scottish immigrants due to the association with The last battle between the Scottish and the English; War 1746 fought in Culloden Battlefield. It’s sad but it may not persist as it is I fear. I hope to travel there again.

I loved the fact that they’re trying to maintain the property vs modernizing. The door locks are old style so I’m not sure why attaching a big blocky key fob makes any sense. The staff were great as was the breakfast.

This an exceptional place to stay. The staff are friendly and most accommodating. The suite we were in was fabulous. The food rates as the best you will find anywhere. This is the place to stay if you want to be treated like royalty.

"Luxurious Scottish Mansion House with Character"

Beautiful historic Scottish country mansion with the most amazing grounds and driveway... the pictures on the website don’t do justice to the wow factor. We had a very relaxing 2-day stay with great service from friendly and professional staff. Don’t forget your collared shirt for dinner... then again, it’s nice to get dressed up for dinner.

There is a guy that runs the restaurant. He must be one of the most annoying people I've ever met. Loud, obnoxious and isn't what you want to see when you visit a manor house.
