Extended Stay America Suites - Kansas City - Country Club Plaza

Location is perfect for being near the art museums and KCAI near the plaza. Our daughter is attending KCAI and this location is perfect for times when we are in the area to visit for exhibitions or other related events. Room is “ok” but could use some renovation and also had some stale smell of past smokers but that cleared quickly once the air conditioning fan was turned on.

The hotel was adequate. It wasn't particularly good but also not bad. It was inexpensive. I hoped for a little nicer. I wouldn't recommend for an extended stay if you plan on cooking. For a night or two it was fine.

it had a kitchen but no utensils or pots and pans....how is this an extended stay....it smelled, I looked out the window, all i saw were beer cans laying in the dirt...

We chose this property for its location, which was fantastic. We were running in the KC Marathon event and wanted to walk to and from the race. Perfect! As we checked in, the front desk staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Beyond that, we had a disappointing experience. First, that bathroom was kind of a disaster. The tub faucet dripped, and there was extreme buildup on the area underneath. The floor of the tub seemed clean but was slightly stained, and the shower water pressure was lacking. Note that there is a small shampoo provided but no conditioner, and you do need to ask for a hairdryer. The sink basin was cracked, the faucet needed to be replaced, and there were black hairs (eyebrows? lashes?) behind the faucet, so the cleaners missed some things. Yuck. The most distressing thing was that we were promised a grab-and-go breakfast starting at 6 am, which was perfect since we planned to walk to the race at about that time. At 6:15, there was nothing. No coffee, no granola bars, no sign of life. So we headed to the race with no caffeine or carbs. There was a small kitchen in the room, but there weren't plates, cups or silverware. I did get some from the front desk, which was fine. Unfortunately, the accommodations were the worst part of our stay in KC. We love the city, and the race was fantastic. If you're strictly looking for a good location, this will suffice - but if you want convenience and cleanliness, I encourage you to look elsewhere.

It was close to my daughters College.

We have stayed in past and appreciate the affordability, location, and parking. But whole place smelled of cannabis, wow that's a "no-go" for us ever again. Hope you can rectify.

Excellent location: at walking distance to the Plaza and Museums.

Smell in third floor hallway of hotel. The breakfast was "on the go", insufficient.
