Excellent place and incredible host.

Good, comfortable, simple room. Not in the busy town but not far from town and the waterfront. Good breakfast.

Room was fairly basic.

Quiet, friendly, safe, and comfortable. Good price and easy walk to harbor and restaurants. Owners are very knowledgeable about where to go and the sites.

Just need to finish off the construction zone at the back of the building to elevate the look of the complex.

We really enjoyed our stay at Cactus. The room was a decent size and the beds were very comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was lovely with fresh juice and eggs made to order. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. It was really nice having some extra shelving in the bathroom as well as a nice shelf in the room to put things on. It was a small walk to the main area which probably made it a bit quieter as well.

I would have liked to have a window that opened within reach. The only windows that looked like they may have been able to open were small and near the ceiling.

Staff were amazing, room was spotlessly clean and modern and comfortable, breakfast was good and location was great as well.

When we wanted to pay, suddenly credit card had a 7% surcharge which I could argue away. Very weird…

I had a fantastic experience staying at the Cactus hotel. The owner was super friendly - I got in contact with her before arriving and she helped connect me to folks to coordinate tours and answer questions I had. The morning I arrived I was greeted and allowed to check into my room early. They provide 24/7 coffee, tea and filtered water which is a nice perk. The room itself was comfortable and came with a mini fridge that I came to appreciate. Each day my room was cleaned with towels replaced. The included breakfast was also great - the owners would prepare eggs to order, and there was an assortment of bread with jam, cheese and ham as well as juice and coffee. 10/10 recommendation from me on value and the hosts couldn't be nicer or more helpful!

Rude management, unclean rooms, poor location.

Let me start by saying that I rarely write negative reviews, however I feel obligated to do so in this situation as a public service announcement. After reading such great reviews of Cactus, I was excited to stay here but ended up extremely disappointed when I arrived. My fiancé and I waited 30 minutes at the front desk before we were acknowledged - after a long day of travel this was really frustrating. The first person to speak with us was the maid, we could not have been nicer to her, but we were met with overly rude behavior. When we finally were helped at the front desk by the owner we mentioned the interaction with the maid and the owner became extremely defensive and became verbally aggressive with us. Sad to say we ended up leaving because we felt so uncomfortable and unsafe based on how we were treated. Additionally, the property is not as nice as advertised and there are places to stay on the island that are much better located.
