We had a short stay in Beaufort and decided on the Sea Island BW based on TA reviews. We were greeted by a very friendly gentleman named Bill at check in. Once given our room keys, I noticed a tray of fudge, so of course I had to “sample” it for quality control (ha ha) and it was delicious. My wife eventually dragged me away from the fudge and we made our way to our room. It was small, but it was absolutely immaculate. We talked about how you could tell that the management was on top of things and truly cared. Sadly, this seems to be a rarity these days. The hotel has an old-school “mom and pop” feel to it and brought back memories of vacations of my youth in a wonderful way. Breakfast was vey good. Don’t pass on the homemade pastries. The location is great, directly across the street from the boat dock with many postcard worthy picture spots. I would heartily recommend this hotel for an old fashioned, relaxing break from the real world in a beautiful setting.

Bathroom lighting was poor

Not on a freeway, not on Main Street, not the newest and not the largest, but this spotless property screamed Southern Charm. From going out of the way to answer every question, to providing a extra stack of crisp linens, blankets and pillows. In the squeaky clean room the attention to minute details was apparent at every turn. Tiny things such as extra towel sets, each one folded into attractive pockets and fan shapes. They packed grab and go lunch and snack bags for guests planning to attend a nearby Marine Corps graduation. The type of things one would find in a more expensive hotel. Give this place a try, we are glad we did.

This place was great. Breakfast was really nice and the location can't be beat. The building is designed to fit in with the old city feel of Beaufort. I would stay again.

Parking lot is very tight. No night light in bathroom. Some of the outlets didn't work.
