The people were wonderful. The breakfast was amazing. The cost for a room that the sink drains to the floor and flows towards the beds is a bit high.

The sink should drain out not into the property. We wore shoes in the bathroom after we figured it out.

We were hesitating to stay at this place, due to many negative responses. But the wish to have a part of a „private“ Rio Celeste has won, so we came. And we liked absolutely all! Location, people, the peace around you, the size of the room, the breakfast, the care of the owners, and of course – Rio Celeste. We also found the room to be clean and the property well kept. Of course, such kind of a place is not for those looking for „all inclusive“, but for aadventure people – do not hesitate to go there, you will love it! And the care, the sincerety of the owners – it took our hearts. Thanks for all!

Location to volcanoes. Hummingbirds.

Horrible room. Yes, it was a large room but that was the only positive. Furniture with questionable stains from years ago - we refused to sit on it; really poor lighting; smelly, old bed linens, electric shower with wires hanging out! and a shower which didn’t drain. The entire room/bathroom was very basic and looked and felt like it hadn’t been updated for decades. Terrible breakfast! We do not know what people who leave comments that the breakfast is ‘great’ or ‘wonderful’ are on about; dry, flavourless beans and rice (is this real costa rican food? cause if it is, its bad!); rock hard ‘toast' (why bother if bread is not common?). We left to go and find something to eat! Thankfully, we only planned on the one night. We wanted to stay here to support local business like this accommodation, see the blue river and wasn’t expecting a 5-star room BUT, it doesn’t need to be that to provide something which is clean, comfortable and safe.

At first glance it looks a little simple but it has everything you need

Good quality for the good price. You can swim in Rio Celeste close to the cabins, also very close to the Tenorio Park. People were kind and helpful, the breakfast was very good

Some parts of equipment are older, for e.g. rusty chairs on the terrace. But fridge was new, so maybe the equipment is changed one by one
