Tanyresgair Cottages

We stayed in the Hayloft with the mezzanine style upstairs bedroom. The cottage is beautiful and very comfortable. It's a little bit quirky being a 170 year old converted barn but that was part of the appeal for us. It has been renovated to a very high standard with a great mix of old/original and modern living. Very dog friendly - there was even a welcome pack for our boy when we arrived. There are some stunning walks locally and a high proportion of dog friendly places to visit/see/eat. Very out of the way location with gorgeous views. Sally & Paul are so friendly and welcoming, they made us feel very at home from the second we arrived and made a huge fuss of our golden retriever - which he was overjoyed at!! All in all, fantastic for a few days away in beautiful and peaceful surroundings.

I wouldn't say it was a dislike but it is worth noting that the internet a little sketchy - not necessarily a bad thing if you are looking for a relaxing break away from everyday life though!! I personally found it quite relaxing but some people may not like being "offline"

Truly rural location, exceptional rebuild of stone farm buildings. Owners have provided just about every item to make stay comfortable. I have stayed in 5* hotels with less overall comfort. Spaniel was consulted and agreed with this assessment.

Very long and narrow approach road. However, at least the road has recently had a new layer of stone. The long track is unavoidable but you might find it easier to arrive first time in daylight. Problems with internet; not very reliable.

Loved the location of the cottages, the peace and tranquility, and the comfort. The shower was amazing and the bed really comfortable. Sally and Paul were caring hosts and added to the enjoyment of our stay.

There was nothing we didn't like.

Everything!! Bed was extremely comfortable, kitchen has all facilities and necessary equipment, bathroom is modern and shower very good. All is easy to access, clean and amazing views. Sally and Paul were waiting for us to greet us and explain everything. We also got an amazing little book prepared for them with trails, restaurants, towns, etc. They put a lot of effort into that. When arrived, we had a small basket with tea, coffee and Welsh cakes. My dog had his own blanket and towel (and biscuits and fresh water!). I absolutely loved it and couldn’t recommend more!!

Internet wasn’t collaborative but it was a regional problem, not a property one.

Well equipped cottage with nice decor, the owners have really made an effort. The enclosed front yard was also great for our dog, as well as access to local walks. The location was very peaceful. Not too far from Tregaron with shops, good pub etc
