Everything - perfect location, excellent breakfast, host, etc.

Apart from a very warming and attentive welcome arrival, we were hosted into a very clean, tidy, new, comfortable and beautiful room. It is definitely much more than what is seen in the pictures. Diogo and Zezinha are incomparable in terms of treatment, to me the best hosts I’ve met in a long time. Their attention, enthusiasm and passion for what they do is completely outstanding. They take care of everyone with special care.

Everything about this property was exceptional - comfort, cleanliness, location, amenities, breakfast, WiFi, parking, and most especially the host (Diogo). The property is surrounded by vineyards and our room was amazing, with a view of the vineyards from the room and the attached private terrace. The room was large, well laid out, with an extremely comfortable bed, very nice closet space, a desk and a large, comfortable bathroom. The host could not have been more helpful from our first interaction to our goodbye. His recommendations for everything from restaurants to tastings to viewpoints were amazing - we had meals we never would have found without his help. We really feel as if we made a great new friend in Diogo. We were also lucky to meet his wonderful mother who runs the cafe next door and made us feel as welcome as Diogo did - it is a wonderful family. We have traveled the world staying at all types of properties, from the most luxurious to simple, and this one will stand out in our minds forever. This was the best stay of our 3 week trip! We are already missing being there and hope to return very soon.

Diogo was an awesome host, and provided helpful recommendations for the area. The breakfast was excellent, it had free parking, and the room and general area were very quiet. It was a great base for exploring the Douro Valley.

My wife would have appreciated a hair dryer in the room.

The location is perfect. It's in a quiet little town a short distance from Regua and Lamego, which we preferred so we could avoid all the tourists. We biked everywhere, and enjoyed the steep ascents and descents. Most importantly, Diogo and his mother were the most generous and friendly hosts!
