Simple but ok

Staff was polite, cordial and informative; 5 stars there. Rooms, furniture, accessories functional to an extent, but dated and worn. A/C worked well as did the noisy ceiling fan. The walkway leading from front office to rooms had flowers and plants (shown in their photos) which procure pleasant welcoming appeal. Good location as it is not too far from the main touristic centro area - so getting around walking was easily done.

Door into room is warped and difficult to unlock, as you have to pull handle towards you and turn the key with utmost difficulty. The room door is the opaque glass, metal framed type of security door with spring loaded latch and painted tempered glass panes. Extremely noisy opening and closing the door as well. Also, doesn’t what-so-ever block any outside noise. You’ll hear everyone coming and going in these rooms. The windows are the old jalousie type (good for ventilation) but let too much sound as well as mosquitos enter the room. The room itself - or maybe it is the attached bathroom - smelled like urine when I checked in. They had the ceiling fan on high upon checkin, in an attempt to obscure the odor. The bed (foam mattress) is on a concrete slab and is too low in my opinion (@12” from floor). Which can make it difficult to get into and especially difficult to get out of. The LED TV is only 24” screen - which may be a bit too small unless you’re right in front of it. However, it is a TV nonetheless and the channel selection was a-typical for the area. Supposed to be hot water shower, but it’s instead a bit chilly - even after running water for quite some time. They tresspass in unannounced to clean when you’re out! They dropped my things onto the floor also! INVASION OF MY PRIVACY!! Who told them to enter and mess with my possessions in the first place? I certainly DID NOT!

Thin mattress on cement. A huge hanging chair takes up much of the limited space, which I would rather have to hanging clothes. Wi-fi was essentially non-existent. The guy in the adjoining room talked loudly for hours with his door open, without objection from management. The room was certainly not mosquito-proof with part of the window missing.

Good value for money, for a private room with bathroom but don’t expect any luxury. The room and bathroom are clean but with no outlook and had a massive uncomfortable chair which occupied half of it. It’s a bit away from centre but we like walking so didn’t mind.

The room does not really have a window and there is no area to chill outside the room. The booking said we had breakfast included but that was not the case.

Everything is ok if you just need a place to sleep. great place to walk around and a lot of places to have a lunch or breakfast.

AC not working properly sometimes and shower not enough pressure.

Nice green corridor and okay location

Very old, quite dirty - cockroach on the toilet + dead lizard under the bathroom door, no hot water, had to play with fuses to make the air conditioner working
